The 2019 River States Conference Women's Cross Country Preseason Coaches’ Poll has predicted Point Park (Penn.) University as the favorite and to repeat as champions this year. The poll was voted on by the 12 RSC cross country head coaches.
Point Park has won three of the last four RSC titles and two in a row. The Pioneers received a total of 118 votes in the polling and earned eight of the possible 12 first-place votes. Point Park returns two all-conference performers and four of its top seven runners from 2018.
IU East was picked second in the poll coming off its RSC runner-up finish last season. The Red Wolves garnered 104 total votes and three first-place votes.
IU Kokomo came in third in the voting with 89 votes followed directly behind by Ohio Christian in fourth with 88 votes. That represents those schools switching spots from the conference meet of 2018.
WVU Tech placed fifth in the poll with 70 votes, and University of Rio Grande (Ohio) was immediately behind with 69 votes and in sixth. Those schools finished in the same spots last year.
