Kokomo wrestlers host senior night, honor deceased former wrestler

  • 1 min to read

Last night, the Wildkat wrestling team celebrated senior night for Mitchell Wyrick and Nick Moore. These two young men have meant a lot to the program and the team was excited to honor them, said Head Coach Mike Miller.

Wednesday also marked the second annual Takedown Cancer Night. Last night the team honored former Wildkat wrestler Evan Heim. Heim was a 2014 KHS grad and a member of the 2012 wrestling team that earned a berth in the team state finals. Heim lost his battle with adrenal cancer on Oct. 25, 2019. Heim is missed but will always be in our hearts, Miller said.

The Wildkats earned two victories Wednesday evening. First the Kats took on Eastbrook and secured a 78-0 victory followed by a 63-16 victory over the Trojans of Tri-Central.
