Union City Library - Story Time

    The Union City Public Library at 408 N. Columbia St., Union City, Ind. is hosting Story Time. Beginning on Thursday, November 1st, for children ages 0 to 2, with an adult, “Story Time for Littles.” A program with stories, music and activities from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm. Also, a “Story Time for Biggs” (ages 2+ to 4+, with an adult) will be given on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:15 pm. All children in the Union City, Indiana and Ohio area are invited to attend. Singles Interaction

    The Eagles Lodge, 75 South 12th St., Richmond, hosts a Singles’ Interaction every Friday night. Social time: 6 pm, Discussion Group: 7-8 pm, Dance: 8-11 pm with a different band or DJ each week. Cost is $6 donation, ages 21 and up.

Making Magical Memories

    We will be making magical memories at Randolph Nursing and Rehabilitation on December 7th from 5-7 pm. It will be our 5th Annual FREE Kids Christmas party with live reindeer, horse and carriage rides, pizza, hot chocolate and elephant feet. The entire event is FREE and the first 300 kids will get goodie bags and get to receive some special treats as they visit with our residents. The little ones and adults alike will not want to miss taking a ride down the Arctic Plunge. We will have heated tents for pizza and to see a very special guest this year. That is right! We will have heated tents! So, mark the date on your calendar and join us for another FREE event at Randolph Nursing and Rehabilitation!

Kids Make & Take Christmas Crafts

    The AARC & the Randolph Co. Recycling Center are sponsoring a free event for kids of all ages on Saturday, December 8 from 1-3 pm at the Arts Depot, 115 N. Howard St., Union City, Ind. They will make small gifts along with wrapping paper and gift bags.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13

Christmas in the City

    Christmas in the City will be Thursday, December 13 from 5 to 8 pm. There will be Late Night Shopping, Santa & Mrs. Claus at The Community Room (103 N. Columbia St.), Special Sales and Hot Chocolate.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15

Nativity at Monroe Central Elementary

    Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Parker City, is holding it’s annual live Nativity at Monroe Central Elementary School. It will be Saturday, Dec. 15th from 4-8:00 p.m. This is a free event to drive by or walk up to see. There will be live animals also to see.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16

    The Harrisville Christian Church will perform the Christmas Musical, “Good News from Home” Sunday night, December 16 at 6 pm. There will be a live nativity scene by the children of the church and the Christmas story read for all to hear. It’s free to all and finger foods to follow after the event.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21

JRDS Christmas Dinner

    Jay-Randolph Developmental Services will host their Christmas Dinner for client and staff at 11 a.m. at the Jay County Center.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23

    Blue Christmas Service at 3 pm at Countryside Christian Church, 1212 E. 100 S., Winchester. Sometimes green and red make blue. Please join us for a service tailored for those who may be facing loss or grief during the holiday season, recognizing that even in the midst of grief, there is hope.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 24

    Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 8 pm at Countryside Christian Church, 1212 E. 100 S. Winchester.

    The Harrisville Christian Church will host a Christmas Eve service December 24 at 7 pm. All are invited to attend. Singing all your favorite Christmas Hymns and songs of the season and reading the Christmas story from the Bible. It will be a candle light service and the church looks wonderful. Come and worship with us this Christmas eve.
