Scott Douglas England, 51, Kokomo, passed away at 5:53 pm Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis after battling a recent illness. He was born July 28, 1967, in Kokomo, the son of the late Paul R. England & Joyce K. Wiles.
Scott had attended Taylor High School and graduated from Kokomo High School in 1985. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Scott enjoyed drag racing, especially when he and his father raced their 1967 Chevelle for many years at Bunker Hill Drag Strip. He loved to look at and work on old cars.
Scott is survived by his children, Scott P. England (Kelsey Turner), and Brittany M. Murilla; siblings, Robert England, Melinda (Bill) Heady, Tammy Nape, Frank (Maria) Michael, Jason (Ronetta) Michael, Cindy Amerson, and Stacy Howell; grandchildren, Zeppelin P. England, Maddox S. England, Ameir J. Ford, and Mary’Auna M. Wilson; step-father, Joe Wiles; uncle, Joe (Laura) England; aunts, Betty (Harold) Houchens, and Jean Brown; nephews, Billy (Ciarra) Heady, Dylan (Tori) Heady, and Tanner Heady, along with several other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friend, Tony Mossholder.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Henry and Mary England, and Farold and Rosalind Hinkle.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-4 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
