Ryan Matthew Beining, age 8, Kokomo, was gathered into the arms of God Saturday morning, March 22, 2014 at his home with his family at his side. He was born September 2, 2005 in Indianapolis, the son of Nathan R. and Anita E. (Smith) Beining.

Ryan was a 2nd grader at Taylor Primary School, where his favorite subjects were science and math. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4-H and Cub Scout Pack# 3506. He played baseball for Hague Water at Taylor Southeast. Ryan enjoyed hunting, camping, playing with Legos, swimming at the YMCA, fishing and participating in the Jim “Moose” Carden Fishing Clinic. He was also a huge fan of Duck Dynasty.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Nathan and Anita; his four year old brother, Zachary; his two year old sister, Emily; maternal grandparents; Ed and Sue Smith of Spencer; paternal grandparents, Kenn and Rita Beining of Ft. Jennings, Ohio; paternal great-grandparents, Ottie and Millie Beining of Ottoville, Ohio; uncles and aunts, Michael and Angela Portteus of Spencer, Darren and Amy Beining of Ft. Jennings, Ohio, Kris and Tammy Beining of Toledo Ohio; cousins, Ian and Kristin Portteus, Ashley, Bryce, Kaige and Karter Beining; faithful Beagle, Mr. Hunter-Farmer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 North Washington Street, with Rev. Fr. Ted Dudzinski and Rev. Fr. Marty Sandhage the celebrants. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 West Lincoln Road, where a scripture services will be held at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ryan’s Rally, c/o BMO Harris Bank.
