Patricia Ann “Patty” Goff, 60, Kokomo, passed away at 1:50 pm Saturday March 30, 2019, at home surrounded by family. She was born March 27, 1959, in Kokomo, the daughter of Robert & Eileen (Lake) Polk. On December 20, 1980, she married Garry A. Goff and he survives.
Patty was a 1977 graduate of Haworth High School, and a 1988 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She worked for the Center Township Trustees office for 26 years as an investigator. Patty was affectionately known as “Mother Teresa” in the office because of the compassion she showed to all the clients, especially the elderly. She was on the Partners for a Healthier Community committee for the Howard County Health Fair and COC (Continuum of Care) Board. Patty attended Leadership Kokomo, and was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She contributed and taught many classes with the Indiana Township Association, and was certified by Mental Health First Aid USA.
Patty was attending Abundant Life Church small group “Journey”, and attended the Kokomo Great Banquet #104 Table of Deborah. She enjoyed the ocean, beach, shopping, and cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Along with her husband Garry, Patty is survived by her parents, Robert and Eileen Polk; children, Garry Adam Goff (Jessica Peck), and Heidi (Aaron) Lauderbaugh; grandchildren, Ashtyn Goff, Savannah Goff, Faith Goff, and Harper Ann Kate Lauderbaugh due in July; brother, Michael (Marsha) Polk; sisters-in-law, Terri (Mike) Besser, and Debbi (Dane) Orbaugh; brother-in-law, Greg Goff, along with several nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Jim and Joann Goff.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 8, 2019, at Abundant Life Church, 1025 E. 400 S., Kokomo, with Pastor Curtis Matteson officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-6 pm Sunday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.
