Margaret Isabell (Brown) Yard, age 81, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at her home in Kokomo, Indiana. She was born in Kokomo on October 20, 1937 to the late Von and Lula May (Walls) Brown.
On April 10, 1961, Margaret was married to the love of her life, Robert Louis Yard in Kokomo. Robert preceded Margaret in passing on June 12, 2018.
Margaret volunteered for several years at the food pantry of the Salvation Army, and received an Appreciation Award from them for her years of devotion. Margaret enjoyed spending her free time with embroidery projects and doing crossword/hidden word puzzles. More than anything, Margaret loved raising her children and many grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her children, Anita (Brian) King, Cyndi (Ken) Frazier, and Randy Yard Sr.; brother, Anthony Berry; sister, Vonita Parker; and grandchildren, Darrin Adcock, Joshua Adcock, Michael Adcock, Misty Adcock, Jason Blevins, Christopher Blevins, Stephanie Kitson, Kristina Yard, Randy Yard II, Benjamin Yard, Dale Sizemore, Justin Yard, Sarina Browne, Merranda Hamm, and Jeremy Robinson. Margaret also leaves 28 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in passing by her son, Robert L. Yard Jr.; brother, Von Brown Jr.; sister, Sue Willis; and grandchildren, Bella Adcock and Tabitha Groover.
There will be a graveside service for Margaret at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery on Friday, September 20th at 1:00 p.m.
