LeeAnna M. Fansler, 88, Kokomo, passed away at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in Wellbrooke of Kokomo. She was born November 8, 1930, to the late John and Barbara (Chupp) Hostetler. She married Dean E. Fansler at Richland Chapel on July 4, 1953, in Converse, Indiana and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2000.
LeeAnna was a member of Converse Church of Christ for over 50 years. There she did crafts for vacation bible school for many years. She enjoyed quilting and made a quilt for each grandchild upon their graduation from high school. She also enjoyed crocheting, making everyone afghans, doilies and baby booties. She was an artist, seamstress and crafting was her passion.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Thompson and Sharon VanMeeter; and son, Johnny Fansler; 13 grandchildren, Adam (Sara) Thompson, Samantha (Brent) Smith, Nathan Thompson, Jacob VanMeeter, Austin VanMeeter, Jeremiah Fansler, Rachael (Zach) Beachy, Johnathan Fansler, Jamie (Chad) Robbins, Nicole (Brent) Bowman, Brett Ryan, Daryl Marie (Johnny) Bowman, and Alisha (Nick) Parrott, along with 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Victor Hostetler and Duane Hostetler; sister, Arlene (Dave) Rogers; sisters-in-law, Mary Hostetler and Shirley Kelly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Fansler; daughter, Joanna Ryan; brothers, Delbert Hostetler and Robert Hostetler; and sister-in-law, June Hostetler.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, July 22 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown. Funeral services will follow at Noon with Brent Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service in Converse Cemetery, Converse. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Wellbrooke of Kokomo activities department. Hasler & Stout Funeral Home 112 E.
