Drug Task Force makes meth arrests

On July 10th, 2012, Investigators of the Kokomo Police Department Drug Task Force investigated information on a suspected drug lab at 4901 Algonquin Trail. Suspected smoke coming from a trash bag at the location alerted a neighbor. Subsequent investigation resulted in a search warrant being issued for the property at 4901 Algonquin Trail.

As a result of this investigation numerous reaction vessels were located and removed. The following suspects were arrested:

Mark Camp, age 52, of 4901 Algonquin Trail for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a class B felony, Illegal Drug Lab, a class D felony, and Possession of Methamphetamine, a class D felony.

Nick Longworth, age 34, of 4901 Algonquin Trail for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a class B felony, Illegal Drug Lab, a class D felony, and Possession of Methamphetamine, a class D felony.

The Drug Task Force was assisted by Kokomo Fire Department, Howard County Sheriff Department, and Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team.

For the year of 2012 to date, the Kokomo Police Department Drug Task Force Investigators have dismantled over 40 meth labs in Howard County.

The suspects were transported to the Howard County Criminal Justice Center with no injuries reported. The Drug Task Force would like to thank the citizens of Kokomo for tips and information on drug activity. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
