Gilbert Graham Winkel II, 69, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 7th. Gilbert was born to Gilbert and Christina Winkel on September 10, 1947 in Kokomo. He married Jessie Davis on May 9, 1990, and she survives him.

Gilbert was a 1966 graduate of Northwestern High School and attended Indiana University Kokomo.

Gilbert worked for Delco Electronics for 25 years. He enjoyed golfing, riding around in the car, and visiting with friends. He adored his many grand and great-grandchildren.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Jessie Winkel; mother Christina Winkel; daughter Helen (Michael) Perry; sisters Mary (Jerry) Cox and Theresa (Gary) Anderson; niece Lauren Anderson; stepdaughter Cartiena Davis; grandson Aiden Perry; 7 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and cats Tigger, Smokey, and Bandit.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Winkel, brother Joe Winkel, niece Christin Anderson, and step-daughter Jessica Hardin.

Patricia A. Julius

Patricia “Pat” Ann Julius, 63, Greentown, passed away at 9:08 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at her home. She was born April 30, 1953, in Kokomo, to Wilbur E. and Mary F. (Rayles) Varnau. On December 20, 2014, she married Ronald Julius, and he survives.

Pat graduated from Northwestern High School in 1971 and earned her bachelor degree in pharmacy from Purdue University. She began her career at Hutto Drug Store in Greentown and went on to work as a pharmacist for St. Joseph Hospital and St. Joseph At Home before retiring from St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood after a total of thirty years of service. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Her other memberships include C.R.H.P., Howard County Pharmacist Association, Indiana Pharmacist Association, American Society of Hospital Pharmacist, and a 10 year member of 4-H. She was respected and admired by her peers at the hospitals and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Chris (Roxanne) Bagwell, Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and Erin Bagwell, Greentown; daughter-in-law, Ashley Bagwell, Kokomo; step-son, Michael (Hannah) Julius, Tucson, Arizona; step-daughter, Tami (Jason) Shepard, Kokomo; brothers, Mike (Susan) Varnau, Russiaville, Jim (Janet) Varnau, Kokomo; Steve (Michelle) Varnau, Santa Clara, California, and Scot (Jenny) Varnau, Houston, Texas; sisters, Cathy Kurtz (Kevin Shea), Asheville, North Carolina, and Jeanne (Robert) Reames, Kokomo; sister-in-law, Janny Varnau, Kokomo; five grandchildren, Brody Bagwell, Clay Bagwell, Cole Bagwell, Brianna Bagwell and Samantha Bagwell; three step-grandchildren, Zachary Shepard, Lexi Shepard and Eli Julius; and several nieces and nephews.

Ladona Walter

Ladona Walter, 83, Kokomo, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016, at Kindred Health Care, to join her loving husband of 53 years, Wilbur. She was born on May 11, 1933, in Logansport, to Edward and Gertrude (Powell) Hamler. The family relocated to Kokomo where she spent the early part of her life, graduating from Kokomo High School in 1951. On November 2, 1952, she married Wilbur R. Walter, who preceded her in death on November 4, 2005.

Ladona worked at Haynes Stellite, Taylor Schools and American Healthcare while in Kokomo. In 1985, she and her husband moved to Melbourne, Florida, where she worked at Great Western Bank. After retirement, she became very active in the administration office of South Brevard County Habitat for Humanity until the year 2000, when they returned to Kokomo to be near family.

Ladona was an avid reader and loved to work puzzles and word games. Before her husband passed away, they enjoyed camping in their motor home, then later, enjoyed evenings eating out and playing card games with good friends.

Surviving are three sons, Curtis of Daleville, Chris and wife, Denise of Peru and Scott and wife, Jodi of Kokomo; a sister, Norma Cowell of Russiaville; a cousin, Barbara Kingseed of Greentown; ten grandchildren, Heather, Nickie, Cody, Chris Alan, Nickie, Andrea, Nathan, Matthew, Cory and Renae; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jay Hamler; brother-in-law, Robert Cowell; sister-in-law, Lois Hornstra; and brother-in-law, Warren Walter.

Tina M. Watterson

Tina M. Watterson, 59, of Logansport, passed away at 1:03 A.M. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Millers Merry Manor in Logansport. She was born on April 19, 1957 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Paul and Phyllis (Ward) Bugher. She married Larry Watterson in 1984, and he survives.

Tina was known as a giving and generous person, who loved to help people. She was also known as a prankster to her family and friends. Tina enjoyed fishing, camping, and listening to country music. She also enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and collected salt and pepper shakers.

Tina is survived by her three sons, Jeremy Watterson, of Peru, Chris (Ashlee Pickens) Watterson, of Logansport, and Benjamin Ditmore, of Logansport; daughter, Lillie (John) Gundrum, of Logansport; eight grandchildren, Markus Ditmore, Alex Ditmore, Austin Johannes, Drew Johannes, Christina Morgan, Ethan Watterson, Chloe Watterson, and Madison Gundrum; one great-grandchild, Emma Ditmore; brother, Steve (Kay) Bugher, of Kokomo; three sisters, Shirley Bugher, of Kokomo, Brenda Wilson, of Kokomo, and Myra (Charles) Wilson, of Kokomo; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Charlena Kitts and Pamela Bugher.

Meiring Bottoms

Rosiena G. Meiring Bottoms, 81, affectionately known as “Ralph” to her brothers and close family and friends, left her Earthly home to join her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born to Raymond R. Meiring and Joyce I. Ellis Meiring Hall on March 11, 1935, in Kokomo. Her stepfather was William J. “Kenny” Hall. She was married to Dwight “Ed” Bottoms for 53 years.

Rosiena lived in Kokomo and Sheridan, and central Florida. Rosiena resided in Colorado Springs for the last years of her life.

Ed and Rosiena’s beloved son, Edward A. Bottoms, preceded them in death in August 1969.

Rosiena was “Mammaw” to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren from their daughters, Barbara A. Bottom, Colorado, Jhonni C. Upton, Kentucky, and Rosann L. Joyce, Florida; stepdaughters, Terrie Sizelove and Jerrie Bottoms; siblings, Jimmie R. (Nancy) Meiring and Billy C. Meiring, and Dustina (Rick) Hall Monnier, Ohio.

Preceding her in death were her father; mother; stepfather; husband; son; and brothers, Robert E. Meiring and Rex R. Meiring.

Rosiena was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, an accomplished seamstress and quilter, and homemaker. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A private graveside service in Bellevue, Florida, will lay to rest Rosiena and her husband, Ed.

Kenneth Caisse

Kenneth “Kenny” Caisse, 65, Paxton, Illinois, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at his home. He was born July 15, 1951, in Rantoul, Illinois, at Chanute Air Force Base, the son of William and Luella Finch Caisse.

Kenny attended elementary school at Howard Township in Kokomo, before moving to Paxton in 1963 and then graduating from Paxton High School in 1970. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending many hours enjoying nature and all it had to offer.

Kenny is survived by his sister, Mary “Casey” Bentley, Greentown; two brothers, Bob Caisse and Danny Caisse, both of Jacksonville, Florida; maternal aunt, Joan Hardesty, Kokomo; maternal aunt, Rozella Finch, Indianapolis; “honorary” sisters, Sandy Coy, Kokomo, and Gloria Stuart, Tucson, Arizona; special friends, Marci and Stacy Bartlow; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and one great-great-nephew.

Mr. Caisse was preceded in death by his parents, William and Luella; stepfather, Albert Sprehe; and brothers, Bill Caisse and Tom Caisse.

M. Stephenson

Nels Michael Stephenson, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 8:51 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Born March 3, 1944, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he was the son of Mary Louise (Anderson) Stephenson and the late Harold Stephenson. He was a 1962 graduate of Kokomo High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. On Dec. 25, 2002, in Chesterfield, he married Janet Helene (Eilers), and she survives. He was employed with Delco Electronics for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a photographer, and coached Southside Little League for 20 years. He also was an avid reader, guitarist and pianist, playing in multiple bands. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #292 and a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Helen Stephenson, Kokomo; his mother, Mary Louise Stephenson, Kokomo; one son, Derek (Angie) Stephenson, Frankfort; one stepson, Donald R. (Dawn) Steininger, Oakford; two stepdaughters, Rene Eppler, Placerville, California, and Denise (Jeff) Grabow, Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, Bob (Tonya) Stephenson, Kokomo; also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Jennifer D. Peden, 53, Kokomo, passed away at 9:03 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Born Nov. 29, 1963 in Huntington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Glenna (Bloxham) Brown and Harold Brown. On April 1, 2013 she married Michael Peden, her best friend. He preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2013. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Harold (Becky) Brown, Arkansas; mother and stepfather, Glenna and Don Heinmiller; daughters, Dana Brown and companion Billy Nix, all of Kokomo, Natasha Brown and companion Dale Pohlman, Delphos, Ohio, and Tonya K. Myers Harless

Mary Ruth Myers Harless, 61, went to her heavenly home Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, after a brief illness. She was born April 23, 1955, in Kokomo and married Robert Harless on Aug. 26, 1977.

She was a graduate of Northwestern High School. She was a registered nurse at Missouri Delta Medical Center, Sikeston, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Harless, Sikeston; sons, Robert (Jennifer), Kokomo, and Jason (Joyce), Hayward, California; mother, Marylene Whittaker Tucker; stepfather, Lonnie Tucker, Kokomo; sisters, Georgetta Simmons (Charles) and Brenda Reed (fiance Jon), Fort Wayne, Susan Leonard (Chris), Sheridan, and Carol Purvis (Bill), Kokomo; brother, Jay Tucker, Kokomo; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Williamson

Donald Eugene Williamson, 54, departed this life Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, in Kokomo. Donald was born April 27, 1962, in Bernie, Missouri, to his loving parents, Haywood Williamson Sr. and Wanda Williamson.

Donald attended Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio, where he made lifelong friendships. He was a very sociable and joyful man, who was always the life of the party. He loved to dance, sing and his lifetime hobby was fishing. He loved to fish every chance he got. He wouldn’t stop until he purchased his own boat. He would take his boat out of town to anywhere that had water. His wife told him, “It’s fishing or me.” Donald told her that “he would miss her.” Donald also loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. As soon as he got there, the laughing began. He loved meeting new friends. He never met a person he didn’t like.

Donald, known as “Don” to his co-workers, was loved by many while working for Wabash National Trailer Center in Lafayette as an industrial custodian. Donald also attended Pentecostal Lighthouse Church.

Donald was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Levada Johns; brother, Don Cornelius Williamson; sister, Betty Williamson; and nephew, Curtis Williamson.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Williamson; children, Detoisha Williamson, San Diego, California, Sharita Burris, Akron, Ohio, Peggy Burris, Akron, Ohio, Destiny Williamson, Madison, Wisconsin, Desiree Gibson, Madison, Wisconsin, and Tasaun Matthews, Marion; his stepchildren, Ramon Graham, Zachary Killings, Shamika James and Dominique Chambers; and his grandchildren, Davyier Gallagoes, Severn Limuel, Zyaire Jones, Sa’Khiya Clark, Da’Rekae Burris and Da’Meir Burris, whom he cherished dearly.

Mildred Joan (Glassburn) Johnson, 82, Peru, departed to go be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at her residence. She was born Aug. 18, 1934, to Elvin E. Glassburn and Velva E. (Brock) McKinley. She married Harold L. Johnson on Aug. 3, 1956.

Mildred retired from Delco in 1999 after 34 years of service. She also was a 35-plus-year member of the Church of God in Peru.

Dorothy M. Nelson

Dorothy Mildred Nelson, 93, Tipton, died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at her residence. Dorothy was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Chicago, where she lived until about age 8. She then lived in Alsip, Illinois, until moving to Tipton in 1990. Her parents were Ben Robert and Mildred Dorothy (Erickson) Peterson. Dorothy married Earl Edward Nelson on Aug. 28, 1943, and he survives.

She had worked as an administrative assistant for La Rochele, Brooks and Beardley law firm, Chicago Title and Trust, WR Grace, and Zonolite. Dorothy was a graduate of Blue Island Community High School in Blue Island, Illinois. She had belonged to the United Methodist Church. Dorothy was an artist and enjoyed painting, sewing, reading, yoga, knitting and golf.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; two daughters, Donna Kemp and husband Ronald, Roswell, Georgia, and Diane Delelio and husband Robert, Oswego, Illinois; one sister, Nancy Marie Dalenberg, Laguna Woods, California; one sister-in-law, Renee Nickola, Chicago; two grandchildren, Cheri Hollowell and husband Jonathon, Crown Point, and David Delelio and wife Dawn, Kokomo; and four great-grand-children, Joshua Hollowell, Benjamin Hollowell, Taylor Delelio and Andrew Delelio.

Marvin L. Story Jr.

Marvin Lee Story Jr., 60, Indianapolis, formerly of Kokomo, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 6, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Born Oct. 6, 1956, in Montgomery, Alabama, he was the son of Carolyn S. (Isaacs) Story and the late Marvin Lee Story Sr. He enjoyed watching television.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn S. Gulley, Kokomo; two brothers, Gary D. Gulley and wife Bridget Dehl, Chicago, and Jerry L. Story, Noblesville; and several nephews and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Linda L. Garber

Linda Lou (Pope) Garber, 73, Peru, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 6, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, due to heart complications. She was born Sept. 6, 1943, to Cecil and Mary (Spurgeon) Pope, Peru. She married Connie Wayne Garber June 7, 1961. He was by her side when she passed on Tuesday afternoon.

She was the proud mother to three children, Traci Hammer, Denise Garber and Brian Garber (wife Kelli). Linda was a dear grandmother to Courtney Mckillip, Elizabeth Garber, Donovan Lamb, Kristina Garber, Zachary Tyra and Matthew Tyra. She also was blessed with great-grandchildren, Jazlyn, Mya, Hailey Mckillip and Joshua Lamb.

Survivors include her sisters, Norma Hiers, Macy, Alex Shigemura, Hawaii, and Dorothy “Dottie” Greer, Peru. Linda also is survived by several nieces and nephews living throughout Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Florida and Hawaii.

Linda was a homemaker, businesswoman, and entrepreneur, as well as a retiree from American Stationery, building commissioner from Bunker Hill, and band secretary for Maconaquah Marching Band Boosters, Bunker Hill.

Linda was as a very family-oriented person and helped care for several family members over the years and was always on the run helping those in need with one thing or another. Linda enjoyed filling her time with family, sewing, embroidery, gardening, Bible study with her sister, baking and cake decorating and so much more.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Robert and George Pope and Cecil Pope Jr.; and sisters, Janet Bailey, Marilyn Merrick and Patricia Sims.

David S. Neff

David Shawn Neff, 45, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at his residence in Kokomo. He was born in Kokomo on Feb. 25, 1971, to Lynda Neff and the late Dennis Neff.

After graduating from Western High School, David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his country honorably. He then went to work for the Chrysler plant in Kokomo for 16 years and most recently worked as an independent contractor.

In addition to his mother, Lynda, David is survived by his daughter, Krysten Rachel Neff, whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by a brother, Dennis W. (Marcy) Neff; a sister, Laura (John) Wildman; his special friend, Brandi Bennett; and nieces and nephews, Kayla Wildman, John Wildman III, Devon Neff, and Madison Neff.

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Larry Isaacs

Larry “Joe” Isaacs passed away December 10, 2016 in Dothan, AL. He was born August 23, 1944 in Kokomo to Ethel Thompson Isaacs and Cecil Isaacs. Larry graduated from Kokomo High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a musician and singer and played in numerous bands all over the U.S. Larry leaves behind two sisters, Carolyn Isaacs Gulley and Jean Grant, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather Harrell Fisher, and brother Richard Isaacs.

He will be interred at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Dothan, AL.

Buddy Eugene Mossholder, Sr., 77, Kokomo, passed away at 10:21 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born December 16, 1938, in Kokomo, the son of John & Elizabeth (Ogle) Mossholder. On March 6, 1967, he married Linda Lou Sanders and she survives.

Buddy served in the United States Air Force. He was an electrician by trade. Buddy enjoyed shooting trap and skeet in Tampa, Fl. He was an avid pool player, winning many trophies in tournaments, and leagues. Buddy greatly loved his grandkids, and teaching his son about the construction business. He looked forward to family get together for the holidays.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lou Mossholder, Kokomo; children, Monica (Mickey) Fearnow, Michigantown, IN, and Buddy Jr. (Tonya) Mossholder; grandchildren, Darcee (Cory) Collins, Brooke Minor (Fiancé, Austin Mingini), Zachary Sitzes, Trinidie Mossholder, Shaya Mossholder, Bryant (Brittany) Mossholder, Vincent Thomas, Ashley (Robbie) Lopez, Darlena (Anthony) Viscone, and Johnny Mabe, along with eight great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Mossholder Sr., Mulberry, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ona Biddle, Lakeland, FL, and Pam (Peter) Wiemamm, Erin, TN; the family would like to thank special nephew, Ed Dillman.

James “Jim” Carter Johnson, 71, Kokomo, passed away at 4:01 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his home. He was born September 23, 1945 in Glasgow, Montana to the late Carter Vincent and Marguerite Fern (Kalkbrenner) Johnson.

Jim was a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam from 1969 until 1971. Jim was employed with Delphi Delco Electronics from 1983 until his retirement in 2010.

A member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Jim will be remembered as a generous man, often going out of his way to help those in need. He enjoyed his motorcycle, carpentry, and tending to his vegetable garden.

He is survived by his children, Michelle (Justin) Johnson Jones and David (Cristina) Johnson; grandchildren, Anna Jones and Claire Johnson; siblings, Elaine (James) Feeney, Mary (Martin) Smith, Thomas (Vicki) Johnson and Katherine (Timothy) Rasinski; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bernard Robert “Bob” Johnson and Richard Paul Johnson.

Joan L. Peacock

Joan Louise Peacock, 83, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Primrose Retirement Community surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born Jan. 31, 1933, to Harvey and Ruth (Knisely) Lewis in Kokomo. Joan married Floyd Peacock, he would preceded her in death earlier this year.

She worked at Delco for 30 years until she retired. Joan was a member of the UAW local 292 and the Delco Camper Club. She and Floyd wintered in Leesburg, Florida, at Tara Village. Joan and Floyd also volunteered at Century Villa Health Care. They traveled to South Carolina building houses after hurricane Hugo.

Joan Loved going shopping. The most important thing to Joan was her family and friends, whom she loved and cherished. Joan never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She had a huge heart and you knew it the moment you met her.

She is survived by children, Patti (Tim) Bishop, Jim (Carol) Ade and stepdaughter, Tamara (Tony) Boesiger; grandchildren, Mary Louise Ade, Jake (LaTasha) Bandelier, Brandon (Niesje) Bishop and Shane Sorensen; great-grandchildren, Hazel and Landry Bandelier and Cruz and Kannon Bishop.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, Wilbur (Dee) Lewis, Betty Burke, Charles A. Lewis.

Keith J. Wright

Keith J. Wright, 90, Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Northwoods Village Nursing Home, Kokomo. He was born Sept. 6, 1926, in Kokomo to Ervin Wright and Lillian F. (Fawcett) Wright Kingery. He married Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Conwell on Sept. 27, 1946, in Kokomo, and she survives.

Keith was a farmer and worked for Chrysler Corp. for over 30 years. He graduated from Clay Township High School in 1944. He loved model airplanes and was an avid wood carver. He made several violins and gave most of them away. Keith and Jeanie enjoyed traveling and had been all over the world. They also enjoyed wintering in Arizona for over 30 years. Keith served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

Surviving family include his wife, Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Wright, Kokomo; his children, Larry Joe Wright, Kokomo, Kristie Lynn Smith, Frankfort, Ronald Wayne Wright, Chandler, Arizona, and Beth Ann Andrews, Kokomo. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Chad, Derek, Matthew, Shawn, Michael and Michelle; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; a half brother, Michael Wright; and a half sister, Carol Ann Whitehead.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Corrine Andrews; brother, Jerry Wright; and half brothers, Joe, Bud, Meredith and Tom.

Blaine C. King

Blaine C. King, 84, Kokomo, died peacefully at home at 9:20 a.m. Monday Dec. 12, 2016, surrounded by family. Born Nov. 22, 1932, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late James B. King and Lena Mable (Anthony) King. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. On Nov. 1, 1986, in Kokomo, he married Constance Darlene (Bousum), and she survives.

He was employed with Chrysler, retiring in 1982 after 30 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 685, and served as union steward during his tenure. He was also a member of Family Worship Center.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Darlene King, Kokomo; one son, Blaine C. (Phyllis) King Jr., Kokomo; two daughters, Roxann I. Andrews, Tamara J. King, both of Kokomo; three stepsons, William B. Absher, Hobe Sound, Florida, James A. Absher, Kokomo, MSGT Timothy S. (Michelle) Riley, Valdosta, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Angela K. Martel and Tonya (Bob) Stephenson, both of Kokomo; one sister, Mary Bass, Kokomo; one brother, Jimmy (Mary) King, Kokomo. He dearly loved his grandchildren and is survived by loads of them, many great-grandkids, and several great-great-grandkids, as well as lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kimberly Ann King; brothers and sisters, Barney King, Nate King, Leonard King, Marley King, Thelma Johnson, Bertha “Tootie” Stone, and Helen Cruea; and a granddaughter, Amber Annette Hood.

Norma Jean Chism Cottingham, 91, left her earthly home to join her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Community Howard Regional Health. Norma was born to Arthur and Blanche Chism on Feb. 17, 1925, in Kokomo. She married Everett Cottingham on Dec. 30, 1946.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles.

Norma is survived by her husband, Everett Cottingham; daughter, Diana Cotham; brother, Jack Chism; four grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Everett and Norma lost a beloved son, David Leroy Cottingham; a great-grandson, Christopher; her brothers, Arthur and Walter Chism; and her sister, Rosemary.

Ronda E. Faunce

Ronda Elaine “Honey” Faunce, 71, Russiaville, was surrounded by her family when she died in her home at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016. She was born March 1, 1945, in Marion to Richard and Jenny Good and was a life resident of Marion until moving to Russiaville 12 years ago.

Honey was a 1963 graduate of Marion High School. She attended Trinity UMC, where she taught Bible school and was very involved in the youth programs. She also volunteered at Golden Living Center and Colonial Oaks Healthcare Center. Honey will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as a woman with an indomitable will and spirit, a passionate nature, and a champion for her children.

Survivors include her life partner of 40 years, Archie Whitton Jr., Russiaville; daughters, Connie (Robert) Hulka, Russiaville, Jennie Camblin, Marion, and Shanna Foreman (Mike Moore), Kokomo; sister, Glenna Hatfield, Marion; niece, Jennifer Atkinson, Jonesboro; grandchildren, Alyssa Camblin, Alaina Camblin, Ariah Blevins, Brayden Foreman, Shelby Hulka, and Jenna Hulka; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Bryson, and Jackson; and good friends, Cindy Eversgerd and Jane Mitchener.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her son, Mark Fansler (2009).

Ronald Seabolt

Ronald Seabolt, 64, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 12, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital. Ronald was born Oct. 28, 1952, in Kokomo to Wylie and Ethel (Butler) Seabolt.

Ronald had worked for the Howard County Hospital for 18 years and the Senior Citizens Center for five years. He enjoyed watching IU sports and the Indianapolis Colts. Ronald was witty, always telling a joke, and he never knew a stranger. He also liked watching Cozy TV, the old shows, especially the westerns. Ronald truly loved his family and he kept a strong faith through it all. Ronald had a special friend in life that was Trouble, a pitbull mix, and also Sam, a mutt.

Ronald married Patricia Naft in 1984 and she would precede him in death.

Ronald is survived by stepfather, Jim Paschall; stepmother, Dorothy Aaron; siblings, Betty (Ronald) Reinhardt, Sharon (Ronald) Wolfe, Howard Paschall , Ricky (Paula) Seabolt, Jerry (Mary) Seabolt, Luther (Rita) Seabolt, Danny Seabolt, Ruthie (Susie) Webb; and nieces, Susan Sunday, Julie Wolfe; and nephew, Paul Barber.

Joseph K. Winter

Joseph K. Winter, 66, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at St. Vincent Kokomo. He was born in Lowville, New York, on Aug. 11, 1950, to the late Joseph Winter Sr. and Marie Winter.

After graduating high school in Lowville, Joseph enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country honorably for eight years. While serving, Joe was stationed at Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana and it was there that he would meet his wife of 44 years, Dorothy (Jones) Winter.

After serving his military commitment, Joe went on to work at the Chrysler plant in Kokomo and was employed there for 33 years.

Anna V. Read

Anna Vonna Read, 91, Peru, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016. Anna was born April 2, 1925, in Clinton City to her parents, Guy Elmer and Margaret “Maggie” Corn (Maritte). She married Glen W. “Doc” Houk in June 1945, and he died July 26, 1987. She married Wade Louthain on Feb. 24, 1996, and he died on April 14, 2000. She married Ross Read on June 28, 2001, and they later divorced.

She is survived her sons, Norman J. (Mary Jay) Yoder, of Bristol, and Steve (Tina) Corn, of Peru; stepson, P.W. Louthain, of Deep River, Connecticutt; grandchildren, Paula Burton, Lindsey Yoder, Kathleen Deuel, and Scott McMeekan; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Nate Corn, Chester Corn, John Corn, and Alfred Corn; sister, Mary Francis Leadbetter; two stepdaughters; many aunts and uncles.

Anna enjoyed spending time with her family and being employed as a Tupperware manager for many years.

Gary R. Draving

Gary R. Draving, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 12:04 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. Born May 3, 1938, in Peru, Gary was the son of Everett & Norene (Snyder) Draving. He married Joan Redman, December 31, 1974, who preceded him in death on May 18, 2014.

Gary was a 1956 graduate of Peru High School. He then went on to receive his Bachelor Degree from Purdue University. Gary retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Dudley) Sampson, Santa Clarita, CA; sisters, Evrille “Lynn” Draving, Peru, and Charlotte (Scotty) Sanders, Mora, MN, along with four nieces and four nephews; his companion, Jill Newby; her loving children, Kendra (David) Metcalf, Kelly (Kevin) Silvers, Todd (Jaime) Kurowsky, and Kimberly (Chad) Key; Jill’s grandchildren whom he loved and cared for, Seth Metcalf, Sara Metcalf, Savannah Silvers, Avery Silvers, Makayla Kurowsky, Garrett Kurowsky, Emma Key, Grayson Key and Thea Key; and special friends, Bob Smith, and Justin Bargerhuff.

Ronald B. Whitsett

Ronald B Whitsett, age 68, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away at 11:27 am, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in his home with his family beside him. Ron was born in Kokomo October 1, 1948 to the late Charles Whitsett and Dorothy Whitsett-Curran.

Ron was loved so much by his family and friends. Whenever you saw him he was on his Harley and always had a big smile. Ron would give you the shirt off of his back and his kindness extended beyond family and friends to anyone in need.

Ron was employed as a concrete finisher. He loved his job, worked hard and took great satisfaction in his work.

Ron’s hobbies were riding his Harley, shooting pool, and hanging out with friends. But, most of all, he relished spending time with the loves of his life, his daughters Heidi and Samantha, his mother Dorothy, and his companion Diana.

Ron is survived by his mother Dorothy Curran, daughters Heidi (Kenny) Vint & Samatha (Dan) Runge, granddaughters Denise Runge, Ciara Bright, and Madeline Vint, and companion Diana Martin.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Loni and Cloa Waggoner, Father Charles Whitsett, Stepfather Richard Curran, and grandson Hayden Vint.

James H. Buchanan

James Herbert Buchanan, 85, Kokomo, passed away at 8:03 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born October 25, 1931, in Palestine, Illinois, the son of the late Luther H. and Rebecca S. (Dickinson) Buchanan. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1949 and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Barbara J. Felts on April 11, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, and she survives.

After his service, he finished his degree in Pharmacy at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Before his service, he had briefly attended Butler University where he was first clarinetist in the Butler Marching Band. After getting his BS degree in Pharmacy, he and Barbara returned to Palestine, Illinois, where he took over the family drugstore. He finished his 35 year career in pharmacy as a consulting pharmacist at Malcolm Bliss State Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

While living in St. Louis County, he served as Alderman and Mayor of Moline Acres, a suburb of St. Louis. He was involved in the Lions Club most of his adult life. After retiring to Kokomo in 1992, he became a member of Kokomo Noon Lions. Herb also was an eleven year volunteer for the Kokomo Howard County Library. He was formerly a member of First Congregational Church and at present, was a member of First Christian Disciples of Christ Church where he sang in the choir and served as an elder.

He and his wife, Barbara, loved traveling, having visited all of the U.S. touring with Road Scholar. As avid birders, they had “chased the birds” worldwide.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Buchanan; son, Kevin (Astrid) Buchanan; daughter, Valerie Imbierowicz; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, James Roney; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Halle.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Harold and Carl Buchanan; a nephews, David Buchanan; and many beloved in-laws and friends.

Marcia E. Berryman

Marcia Ellen (nee Tomey) Berryman, 88, passed away peacefully Monday evening, Dec. 12, 2016, at Chicagoland Christian Village in Crown Point, Indiana, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Marcia was born to Dale Owen and Lea Lucille (nee Shoulty) Tomey on Aug. 18, 1928, in Bloomington, Indiana.

Marcia received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. She met her husband, Kenneth Eugene Berryman, through mutual friends while attending summer school for her master’s degree at Ball State Teachers College in Muncie. The couple were married July 20, 1957, in Battleground, and settled in Kokomo, where they raised four children.

While teaching, Marcia especially enjoyed educating first- and second-grade students. She served as a teacher for the American children of servicemen stationed in Germany after World War II and was always so proud of it. Marcia was an active member Main Street United Methodist Church, where she served as a wedding planner for many years. She was also a lifelong member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, the local Greek Club and PEO Sisterhood. Marcia practiced various handcrafts, including needlepoint, knitting, sewing, and quilting. There was always a jigsaw puzzle on the dining room table in her house. She also appreciated music, played the piano, and was employed by the Sound of Music in downtown Kokomo for many years.

Marcia was preceded in death by her first son, Todd Allen, in 1961; her husband, Ken, in December 2012; and her grandson, Nicholas Owen Rosecrans in 1996.

She is survived by her brother, Richard “Dick” Hastings Tomey; four children, Lucianna Lynn Artz, Jon Dale Berryman, Timothy Lee Berryman, and Sara Kay Daulton; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Milton J. Boyce

Milton James Boyce, 73, passed away at home with his wife by his side Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016. Milton was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Jack and Celia Boyce. He married his wife, Tory, in 1974 in New Castle.

Milton worked in machine repair at Delco for 20 years. He was an avid golfer, and volunteered at the American Legion. Milton was a Mason in New Castle and master of the lodge in New London. He was also the monarch of the Ibn Saud Grotto and a member of the Scottish Rite. He loved to go to his grandchildren’s ballgames. He was a loving dad, grandpa, and husband.

Milton is survived by his wife, Tory Boyce; daughters, Julie Boyce, Amy (Rodney) Thomas, Amber (John) McGlothlin-Ryan, and Lindsey (Shane) Linn; brothers, Eddie, Neil, and Jeff Boyce; sister, Janice Long; and grandchildren, Kiley (Anton) Franklin, Courtney (Kenny) Collins, Tanner (Heather) Sparks, Anna and Lauren Dando, Chelsea (John) McGlothlin, and Conner and Chloe Linn.
