OBITUARIES

Harry W. Dishon

Harry W. Dishon, 96, of Kokomo passed away at 11:02 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2016 at St. Vincent of Kokomo. He was born on June 10, 1919 in Tipton County, Indiana to William B. and Martha S. (Wray) Dishon. On August 23, 1953 Harry married Catherine Eller and she passed away on September 11, 1969 and married Joan E. Rice on June 15, 1981 and she passed away on January 21, 2016.

Harry was a graduate of Carrollton High School and was a Tech Sergeant in the United States Army as a medic during WWII. He was the previous owner of Spring Valley Trout Farm, a Dixon Dealer and spent most of his life as a farmer/seed men. Harry was a lifetime member of the VFW post 1152, was a blood donor of at least 10 gallons of blood, member of Russiaville Community Church. He loved to walleye fish and had a deep faith in God.

Colleen Ellis

Colleen Ellis, 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at her home in Kokomo. Colleen was born April 5, 1927, the daughter of Peter and Alma (Hill) Block. Colleen was married March 29, 1950, to Eugene C. Ellis. They were married 64 years until he preceded her in death on June 3, 2014. To this union, five children were born.

Colleen was a homemaker and was a member of Faith Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and was in the Church Women United organization. She showed charity to others and was constant in helping others. She enjoyed spending time with family and enjoyed going to Hoosier Park with her daughter.

She is survived by one daughter, Lois “Punky Lee” Welsh, Kokomo; one son, Peter (Cindy) Ellis, Kokomo; 13 grandchildren, Robert Maw, Koffee Jackson, Chris Ellis, Robert Beasley, Rodney Beasley, GW Welsh, Nick Ellis, Kevin Ellis and Wendy Ellis, Michelle King, Russell Troyer, Josh Hurlock and Robin Ellis; and one sister, Carolyn Yeager, Beaufort, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Ellis; three daughters, Louise Ellis, Linda Ellis and Mary Colleen Ellis; and one brother, Clarance Block.

Myrna S. Brown

Myrna Sue Brown, age 78, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at IU Health Tipton Hospital in Tipton. She was born in Tipton County on January 3, 1938 to Claude and Edith (Amos) Johnson. On August 18, 1967 Myrna married Floyd D. Brown and he preceded her in death on September 26, 2010.

Myrna was a 1955 graduate of Jefferson Township High School in Kempton. She went on to attended the St. Vincent School of Nursing in Indianapolis graduating in 1959 as a Registered Nurse. Myrna spent her entire nursing career at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She began as a surgical nurse in 1959 and finished her career as a Nursing Supervisor before retiring in the year 2000. Her present and past memberships include Jefferson Township Alumni, St. Vincent Alumni Association, Kempton Christian Church, Kempton Baseball League, Kempton Lions Club, and her Bridge Club. As hobbies Myrna enjoyed crocheting, watching the birds, playing cards and watching any type of televised sport. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed cooking and preparing for the family get-togethers.

Myrna’s survivors include her children; Angela S. Comer Hogwood of Atlanta, IN, Melissa Kay Brown of Tipton, and a step daughter, Theresa (Dave) Brown Berg of Kempton. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Craig (Stacy) Hogwood, Christy Hogwood Moreland, Sarah (Chad) Urich Hogwood, Caitlin Hogwood & Aaron Robinson, Samantha Huffer, Kelley Berg, Michael (Amber) Brown, Emily Riddle along with her great grandchildren; Jayden, Jordan and Jaxon Hogwood, Ayvah Hogwood and Natalie & Brock Moreland. Her sister, Sandra Johnson Nichols of Las Vegas, Nevada also survives along with several nieces, nephews and loving cousins.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, a step son Michael Brown, a grandson Chad Hogwood, and two brothers; Bruce and Brice Johnson..

Rex P. Rittenhouse

Rex Perry Rittenhouse, 49, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:00 AM, Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital Kokomo. He was born June 10, 1966, in Kokomo, to Marvin L. and Rita Jane (Overholser) Rittenhouse. On November 21, 1987, In Kokomo, he married Gloria S. (Tressler) Rittenhouse, and she survives. He graduated from the last class of Haworth High School, and later earned his Associates Degree at Ivy Tech. He worked as a Computer Technician for Hewlett Packard. Rex attended New Life Church in Kokomo.

Survivors include a son, Perry D. Rittenhouse of Kokomo; daughter, Alyssa E. Rittenhouse of Kokomo; sister, Rae and husband Dave Rish of Kokomo; brothers in law, Roger and wife Sandi Tressler, and Jeff and wife Cathy Tressler, all of Kokomo; sisters in law, Esther Tressler, Linda Harris, Rosale Tressler, Karen Tressler, and Sharon Tressler, all of Kokomo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father in law, Floyd “Bud” and Irene Tressler, brothers in law, David and Cloyde Tressler, nephew, Matthew Tressler, and several other close cousins and relatives.

Lola E. Akers, 70, of Galveston, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home in Galveston. She was born February 8, 1946 in Marion, Indiana to George W and Harriett (Gates) Smith. She married Gary O. Akers on August 14, 1965 in Converse, Indiana and he survives.

Lola was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Galveston. She also volunteered for Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo.

Surviving family include her husband Gary Akers, Galveston; two sons, Mark Akers, LaGrange, IL; and Kevin (Lori) Akers, Kokomo, IN; four grandchildren, Hensley and Conrad Akers and Ethan and Emily Akers. One brother also survives her, Donald Smith. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wendell Smith; sister, Doris Wilkins and two nephews, Scottie Smith and Charles Wilkins.

Lola Helen Dwigans, 100, of Russiaville passed away at 5:40 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Waterford Health Campus. Lola will be greatly missed by her family, and leaves behind a century of memories from a life well-lived. She was born on March 25, 1915 in Tipton County to Oliver and Bessie (Boyer) Smith. Lola married Robert R. Dwigans on May 20, 1933 and he passed away on December 24, 1996.

Lola was a graduate from Tipton High School in 1933 and attended Alto Methodist Church where she loved the Lord. She loved to knit, crochet, play Bingo, reading, canning and being with family at family gatherings.

Survivors include her two sons Phillip J. (Ethelyn) Dwigans of Kokomo, Richard L. (Darlene) Dwigans of Kokomo; one daughter Jan C. (William) Pavey of Kokomo; one sister Jean (James) Kelley of Tipton; eleven grandchildren Marcia (Dennis) Marler, Paul (Ann) Dwigans, P. Todd (Wendy) Dwigans, Rebecca (Ron) Word, Jeffrey (Angel) Dwigans, Douglas Dwigans, Cheryl (Scott) Netzley, Katherine Coston, Ronald Coston, James (Kelly) Coston, Scott (Sharon) Pavey; twenty-three great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren .

Sylvia Sue Piotrowski, 79, Kokomo, passed away unexpectedly at 845 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Baptist Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on February 23, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late John Nagaitis and the Late Monica Zabella. She married Clement Piotrowski on January 26, 1957, in Kouts.

Sylvia graduated from Purdue University and worked as a computer business analyst for EDS. She loved gardening, photography, quilting and hiking through the Smoky Mountains.

Sylvia is survived by her children, AvaMarie and husband, Tom Hobson of Kokomo, Susan Marie Piotrowski and Kathryn Anne Piotrowski, both of Crestwood, Kentucky, and Steven Jon and wife Melinda Piotrowski of Greenwood, and three grandsons, Anthony Hobson, Cody Hobson and Tyler Piotrowski. Sylvia will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Teddy J. Bare

Teddy James Bare, 68, of Kokomo, passed away at 3:20 PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care. He was born May 8, 1947, in Marion, to Arthur Otto Bare and Ruby (Simmons) Sriver. On May 18, 1974, in Kokomo, he married Ruth Anna (Jenkins) Bare. She preceded him in death on September 30, 1999. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1969. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he was proud of his rank as First Cook. He retired from Delco Electronics in 1998 after 30 years of service where he made many lifelong friends. He was a member of Courtland Avenue Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working around his house and enjoying the outdoors. Teddy’s family meant a lot to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Steven Jay “Pooch” Conaway, 55, Tipton died at 2:19 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania from medical complications due to pneumonia. He was born in Elwood on December 14, 1960. He is survived by mother Evelyn (Jones) Conaway Tipton and preceded in death by his father William A. Conaway. Steve was a long haul semi driver for 32 years with a deep passion for the open road on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Survivors besides his mother Evelyn include two children Stacy Jarrell and husband Aaron, and Jamie Phifer and husband Brandon all of Tipton; four grandchildren, Kelsey Jarrell and companion Tyler Nation, Makayla Jarrell, Delaney Phifer and Kenzie Phifer, and one great-grandchild Kayden Jay Nation; three siblings, Jeff Conaway, Tipton, Cheryl Pickett and husband Steven, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and Jennifer Conaway, Ft. Charley R. Collins

Charley Richard “Rick” Collins, 62 of Arcadia passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 24, 1953 in Hancock County, Tennessee to Lester & Flora Mae Collins. Rick leaves behind his wife Mary C. “Molly” Mattingly who he married on April 20, 1987.

Rick was the owner of CRC Construction. He loved being outdoors: hunting, fishing, and gardening. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, as well as a good football game.

Survivors besides his wife Molly include five daughters, April Morgan and husband Ryan, Indianapolis, Megan Green and husband Joe, Noblesville, Ericka Spoonire, Indianapolis, Chelsea Linville, Greensburg, and Nikki Collins, Greensburg.

He is also survived by two sisters, Fannie Mae Manis, Morristown, Tennessee and Georgia Tempest, Greensburg; one brother, Fred Collins, Greensburg. Nephews include Steve, Jason and Joshua Tempest; several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elvis Collins, Ray Collins and Hubert Collins and one sister, Edith Collins.

Kenny Hendricks

Kenny Hendricks, 55 of Tipton and formerly of San Diego, California died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 19, 1960 to William Blaine & Shirley Louise (Short) Hendricks. Together since 1985, he and Michele Ward were married on July 28, 2007.

Kenny worked in construction as a concrete finisher. He loved golf and fishing. He was a avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Jimmie Johnson, a six-time champion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

He is survived by his wife, Michele; mother, Shirley Louise Foster, Spencer; two daughters, Vicky Scholl and husband Larry Jr., Elwood, Marsha Sheets and companion Scott Shannon, Elwood; four grandchildren, Brice Gant, Austin Gant, Hayden Sheets, Holden Sheets; a great-granddaughter, Tessa Gant; two brothers, David Hendricks and Mike Hendricks, Tipton; a sister, Sherri Dick, Tipton; nephews, Tyler Mendyke and Alex Dick; great-nephew, Sebastian Mendyke; Kenny’s dog Laci.

Donna Rose Fletcher, 65, Kokomo, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her home. She was born August 22, 1950 in Kokomo to Charles and Rose (Patton) Mann.

Donna enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and Reba McEntire. She also loved animals, especially her cats. Donna will be remembered for her love of grilling outside with her family and friends.

Robert F. Bouse, 73, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:57 p.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016 at his home.

Bob was born in South Bend on September 6, 1942 to the late William Woodrow and Emily Jean Holder Bouse. He married Judy C. Tucker on September 4, 1964 in Kokomo. Bob was a graduate of Kokomo High School. He was formerly employed at Delco Electronics, Long John Silvers and managed Dunkin Donuts in Lexington, Kentucky for 9 years.

Bob is survived by his wife of over 50 years Judy C. Bouse; daughters, Tina Marie (Robert) Hamp of Delphos, Ohio, and Tracy Jo (Joe) Smith of Pineland, Florida; grandchildren, William, Kenneth, Nicole, Kaitlin, Kayla, Kagan, Taylor, Gavin, Gannon, Aidan, Riley and Caley.

Leevon Turner

Leevon “Lee” Turner, 78, of Monticello, KY, formerly of Kokomo, passed away at 3:45 PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1937 in Jackson County, Kentucky to the late Delbert and Mary E. (Isaacs) Turner. He married Sylvia (Williamson) Turner on June 16, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and she survives.

Lee retired from Chrysler after 28 years as a Hot Loader in Die Cast. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1958 as an Airman. Lee enjoyed cooking and baseball. He coached Connie Mack baseball leagues when his sons played.

Surviving is his devoted wife of 53 years, Sylvia; four sons, John R. Turner, Matthew W. (Peggy) Turner, Mark (Jordanna) Turner, and Steven W. Turner; four grandchildren, Anthony (Trista) Turner, Hannah (Kolton) Sandefur, Isaac Turner, and Lily Turner; three great-grandchildren; and two nieces. Lillie G. Bronson

Lillie G. Bronson, 102, Kokomo, passed away at 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Northwoods Village, Kokomo. She was born on August 2, 1913 in Kokomo to the late James and Ida (Storms) Green. Lillie graduated from Kokomo High School in 1931 and attended Indiana University. She was a member of the St. Andrew Episcopal Church and the Colonial Dames 17th Century. She was a drapery maker for 30 years.

Lillie is survived by her children, Cheryl (Charles) Locke of Kokomo, James G. Sallee of Kokomo, and Frank (Anita) Sallee of Zionsville; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; 1 great -great grandchild; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Lillie is preceded in death by her first husband, Frank M. Sallee in 1948; her second husband, William Earl Bronson in 1962; two daughters, Margaret Ann Boe and Catherine Bronson; two sisters and two brothers.

Marilyn S. Ault

Marilyn S. Ault, 74, of Kokomo, passed away in Punta Gorda, Florida on February 28, 2016. She was born December 31, 1941 in Coldwater, Michigan to the late Albert Mitzelfelt and Genevieve (Wenzel) Mitzefelt. She was employed with PPG, Accurate Parts, and then retiring from Bona Vista as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by one daughter Lisa (Tom) Kauble of Granger, Indiana; two granddaughters Ashley Kauble of Mishawaka, Indiana and Kristin (Justin) Garner of Bloomington, Indiana. She has three great grandsons Braden, Colton, and Emerson. She is also survived by her friend Wayne Hundley and her beloved dog, Missy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Visitation for Marilyn will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday March 4, 2016 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Barbara G. Sharp

Barbara G. Sharp, 78, of Oakford, passed away at 3:28 PM Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Community Howard Regional Health. Born December 5, 1937 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Calvert Lowell Vandercook and Lovie (Nance) Vandercook. On July 20, 1962 in Kokomo, she married Charles Robert “Bob” Sharp Sr. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2004. Barbara was a homemaker who enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching the television, and spending time with her family. She loved to tell dry jokes.

Survivors include two sons Charles Sharp Jr. of Kokomo, Allen (Terisa) Sharp of Oakford; three daughters Joyce Ann (Michael) Everhart and Lisa Duncan, both of Kokomo, and Ruby McCoy of Middlesboro, Kentucky; one sister Virginia McDole of Arizona; one sister-in-law Elaine Vandercook of Kokomo; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Sharon Young; two sons-in-law Dennis Duncan and Michael McCoy; two brothers Donald Vandercook and Harold Lee “Pete” Vandercook.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 5, 2016 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Terry Russell will officiate. Jeanne Neuendorf

Jeanne Neuendorf, 90 of Tipton died at 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Henry, Illinois on February 26, 1926 to Eugene & Capitola Mae (Smith) Rowe. She married James R. Neuendorf on May 30, 1948 and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2002.

Jeanne was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church where she was active in LWML, Ladies Aid, Altar Guild and had been a Bible Class teacher. She was a long-time member of the John Birch Society.

Jeanne’s 90 years were characterized by faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ and a deep love for his word. She had confidence that her life would never end because nothing, not even death could separate her from the love of God which was God’s gift to her through Jesus Christ. During her last years and especially the last weeks she was grateful for the strength and support that she received from Jesus, her many good friends, and especially her dear children. Even in the worst days of her illness she praised God for his good gifts, and said, “Jesus has been so good to me.”

Survivors include her seven children, David Neuendorf and wife Patti, Aurora, Carol Owens, Tipton, Nancy Engle and husband Bruce, Valparaiso, Donald Neuendorf and wife Karen, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Daniel Neuendorf and wife Sue, Fortville, James Neuendorf and wife Liann, Warsaw and Robert Neuendorf and wife Karen, Aurora.

She is also survived by two sisters, Eunice McCauley, Princeton, Illinois and Ellen Ricci, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Robert E. Glass

Robert E. “Bob“ Glass, age 86, of Frankfort and formerly of Tipton, Indiana passed away on Monday February 29, 2016 at Clinton House Healthcare of Frankfort. He was born in Tipton County on July 24, 1929 to George Emerson and Margaret Ethel (Moore) Glass. On September 6, 1950 Bob married Mary Pennock in the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Tipton, and they shared over 65 years of marriage together.

Bob graduated in 1947 from Tipton High School. He was a member of the Wesleyan Church where he was active in CYC, Junior Church and Indian Missions. He retired from Chrysler in 1990 after serving more than 27 years with the company. In his spare time Bob enjoyed fishing, bowling, feeding and watching birds. He was a devoted family man who cherished the time spent with his family, especially the annual summer camping vacations he took the family on.

Bob’s survivors include his wife Mary Glass of Frankfort, Indiana, his three children; Robert Joseph Glass and his wife Sue of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Larry A. Glass and his wife Carol of Frankfort, Indiana, Patricia Elaine Lee and her husband Rick of Murphy, North Carolina. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Carrie Carter, Erin London, Jeremy Glass, Elizabeth Turner, Daniel Captain and Ethan Glass along with 10 great grandchildren.

Phil R. Martin, age 78, of Tipton, Indiana passed away on Thursday March 3, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. He was born in Portland, IN on January 20, 1938 to Louis V. and Mary E. (Glass) Martin. On February 14, 1958 Phil married Linda L. (Rigney) in Tipton, and they enjoyed over 58 years of marriage together.

Phil graduated in 1956 from Tipton High School. He served his country for 4 years in the US Navy. Phil belonged to the Moose Lodge 1590 and American Legion. He retired from Chrysler in 1986 after serving more than 30 years with the company. In his spare time Phil enjoyed golf, so much so that he played every day but one in 2015. He also liked watching television and had a love of sports.

Phil has dedicated most of his adult life to the Loyal Order of the Moose. He joined Tipton Lodge #1590 in 1970 and serves in all the offices, including Administrator from 1987 to 1989, and is a life member of that lodge. He joined Ray Gibbens #77 Legion in 1980 and served every office except Secretary, and is also a life time member of that Legion. He was active in the 4th district as a Chairman as various offices, and serves as its Vice President from 1983 to 1985. Phil received his Fellowship Degree in 1982 and the Order’s highest degree of Pilgrim in 1989. He is also a member of the 175 Division of the 25 Club. At the State level Phil serves as State Sergeant of Arms 1982 to 1983, State Endowment Fund Chairman 1993 to 1996, and was elected to Vice President in December of 1996. He was appointed as Assistant Sergeant-at-arms at the International; Convention in Orlando in 1997, and then became the President on October 26, 1997.

Phil’s survivors include his wife Linda Martin of Tipton, his three children; Richard (Debbie) Martin of Elwood, Terri A. Martin Sansare of Bloomingdale, GA, and Debbie (Jerry) Frazier of Tipton. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren along with 15 great grandchildren. Phil was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Annetta J. Martin.

Cathy J. Riley

Cathy J. Riley died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at her home, in Kokomo. She was born to Martin and Barbara Riley (Brock) on Sept. 29, 1948, in Kokomo.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Brock, and her two brothers, Steven and Fred Riley.

She is survived by her significant other, Joseph Varelli Jr., and his daughter Kimberly Guge, her children, Kody Varelli, James and Henry Guge; her father, Martin and his wife Nancy Riley; her stepfather, Lyle Brock; a daughter, Jamie Kilcline and her husband Paul and their five children, Joe II and Gage Bradburn, David, Samantha, and A.J. Kilcline; her three sons, that she loved very much, and wanted the best for them, Steven M. Riley and his wife Christi and their four sons and two daughters, Steven Lyle Riley, and Christopher Skinner; her 10 brothers and sisters, David Riley, Debra and her spouse Don Beechum, Connie and her spouse Bill Alley, Michael and his spouse Tameria Riley, Patricia Riley, Cheryl Riley, Timothy Riley, Daniel and his spouse Sharon Gress, Martin Riley III, and Christina and her spouse Teddy Snipes. She had 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Billy Rouse

Billy Rouse, 77, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, following a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born in Kokomo, and moved to Arlington Texas in June 1983.

He enjoyed Bears football, Cubs baseball, and casino games.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Jeannie, Christy, and Laurie; sisters, Joan, Susie, Margie, Betty and Lori; and brother, Frank.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Addie Rouse; brothers, James and Jerry; a son, Jerry; and daughter, Sheryl. He has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and is sadly missed and loved by all.

Donneta S.

Reed Nygord

Donneta Sue “Donna” Reed Nygord, Prescott, Arizona, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, after a brief illness. Donneta was the daughter of Orin S. Reed Sr. and Lucille P. Reed Phillips. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on April 5, 1941.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Nygord; stepdaughter, Michelle Nygord Matson; parents and grandparents.

Donneta graduated from Western High School, and attended Ball State University, Muncie. She was chief finance officer of Nygord Precision Products Inc. She managed the office and gun import operations in full partnership with her husband. Don attributed his many years of international competitive success on the U.S. National Shooting Team, the Pan-American Games and in the Olympics to Donneta’s steadfast and loving support. Donneta enjoyed being Don’s traveling companion, both nationally and internationally.

Donneta was an active member of the Prescott Chapter of the Arizona P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She was also a member of the American Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prescott.

Donneta is survived by six siblings, Devena D. Reed, Prescott, Arizona, Delonna Kaufman, Jackson, Michigan, Doreen (Barry) Howell, South Dakota, Orin S. Reed Jr. (Anna), Dothan, Alabama, David E. Reed Sr. (Patricia), Galveston, Texas, and Dion C. Reed (Vimol), Kokomo; one aunt and uncle, Arlene M. Reed Turner (Gene), Kokomo; sister-in-law, Janet Nygord Livingston, Oregon; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many admiring friends in Prescott and nationally.

Donneta is greatly missed by family and friends, “’Til we meet again.” Donneta is at rest with her beloved husband at the Prescott National Cemetery, Prescott, Arizona.

Helen P. Colvin

Helen P. Colvin, 71, of Kokomo, passed away at 2:38 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Community Howard Regional Hospital.

Helen was born on June 23, 1944 in Virginia to the late Andre and Helen Baker. She married Niki A. Colvin on December 17, 1965 in Kokomo. Helen retired from Delco Electronics in 1998. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, crocheting, and their cabin in Minnesota. Helen loved her dogs and cats.

Helen is survived by her husband of 50 years, Niki A. Colvin; son, Mark Colvin of Kokomo; brothers and sisters, Weldon (Jenny) Baker of Peru, Carolyn (Ronnie) Aaron of Miami, David (Virginia) Leffel of Peru, Dale (Carolyn) Baker of Ohio, and Gary (Janet) Baker of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wenesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
