James DeLano
James Richard DeLano, 82, Kokomo, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. He was born February 5, 1935 in Hamilton, OH to Alfred Raymond and Bernice (Weisbrodt) DeLano. On June 16, 1979 he married Evelyn Myers who survives.
James was employed with Chrysler Corp as a machinist, retiring in 1995 after 30 years of service.

Darell Gillam
Darell W. Gillam, 94, New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Kokomo, left this earth to join the Lord at 5:04 pm Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Trinity Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida. He was born July 20, 1923, in Kokomo, the son of the late Elgie & Lola (Lamb) Gillam. On July 2, 1968, in Joliet, IL, he married Virginia “Ginny” (Specht), and she survives. 
Darell was a 1941 graduate of Greentown High School. In 1954 he became the second franchisee of the late Colonel Harland Sanders, Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Renita L. Magnett, 44, Scottsburg, IN, passed away at 12:32 pm Wednesday October 18, 2017, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born February 23, 1973, in Kokomo. She was the daughter of Lester & Doris (Brown) Bean. 
Renita was a 1991 graduate of Western High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for Chrysler Corp. for ten years.

Robert Trent
Robert L. “Bob” Trent, 86, Noblesville, formerly of Kokomo, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Harbour Manor, Noblesville. He was born June 29, 1931, to John L. and Edith (Hall) Trent. On April 20, 1952, he married Nancy Davis who preceded him in death on February 6, 1997.
Bob served his country in the United States Army from August 29, 1951 to March 31, 1954 and retired from Chrysler in 1987.

Jim Ludlow
Jim Ludlow, age 80, of Tipton, Indiana passed away on Friday October 20, 2017 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on July 26, 1937 in Louisville, KY to Wilson and Rose (Fromhardt) Ludlow. Jim was married to Mary East on December 21, 1957 and they have shared 59 years of marriage together.
Jim had worked for Tipton Utilities for 37 years until his retirement in July of 2001.

Eileen Blackburn
Eileen Blackburn, 97 of Tipton entered the gates of heaven at 6:12 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Century Villa Health Care & Rehab in Greentown. Eileen was born July 14, 1920 in Alexandria to Clarence Edgar & Velma (Andrews) Ellis. On April 10, 1942 she married Aaron Blackburn and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2007.
Eileen had worked at Delco Electronics – General Motors in Kokomo, retiring in 1977 and had worked at the Tipton Furniture Factory and at Reliance in Kokomo.

Herman L. Book, age 87, of Kempton, Indiana passed away on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at his home in Kempton. He was born on September 16, 1930 in Tipton, IN to Delbert and Gracie (Hunt) Book. 
Herman had worked for Tipton Utilities for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1987. 
Herman was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army.

Nancy Phillips
Nancy Ann Phillips, 58, Kokomo, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her home following a courageous battle with ALS. Nancy was born May 22, 1959, the daughter of the late Phillip Arthur and Alice (Duke) Young. On June 27, 1981, at the First Congregational Christian Church she married Ronald Edward Phillips, and he survives.
Nancy was a 1977 graduate of Haworth High School and a 1981 graduate of Ball State University. She coached varsity tennis, swimming and diving and middle school swimming and diving for the Western School System for several years.
She was a lifelong member of The First Congregational Christian Church where she served as a Christian Education Director for 11 years. She served as the Church Office Manager for five years, retiring about a year ago following her ALS diagnosis.

Rebecca “Becky” Marie Collins, 74, Kokomo passed away at 10:39 a.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born January 14, 1943, in Elwood, to Ray Keith and Mildred Marie (Osborne) Pullen. On August 3, 1963, she married Jimmie Collins, at First Baptist Church in Elwood, and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2017.
Becky graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School in 1961, graduating in the top ten of her class. She was the owner and operator of Craft Connection.

Gregory Alan Gee Sr., 66, Kokomo, Indiana passed away October 10, 2017.
He was born July 22, 1951 to David P. and Doris J. Gee (Crowe) in Howard County, Indiana.
He had a love for old cars, playing cards, bowling, and spending as much time with grandkids as possible.

Margaret Gatliff
Margaret Geneva Gatliff, 83, of Kokomo, passed away at 2:56 pm on October 23rd, 2017at her residence.
She was born to the late Henry and Lily Stinnett on September 23rd, 1934 in Danville, KY.
Margaret worked at Bon Air in their cafeteria until she retired to spend more time with her loving family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kokomo.

George Killian
George Lawrence Killian, 90, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 in Kokomo. George was born on December 11, 1926 in Evansville, Indiana to the late George and Mary (Pike) Killian.
Following high school, George enlisted in the United States Army and served as a heavy equipment operator in the Philippines. He worked at Delco Electronics in Kokomo as a model maker, where he worked for 35 years before retiring in 1993.
On October 2, 1948, George married the love of his life, Doris M. (O’Bryan) in Evansville. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2012.

Lydia Burns
Lydia Burns, 79, of Kokomo passed away on October 25, 2017 at her residence in Kokomo. She was born on January 22, 1938 to the late Howard and Erma (Slusser) Noll in Vaughnsville, Ohio.
Lydia graduated from high school in Huntertown, Indiana, and then married Donald Burns on November 19, 1957 in Winterhaven, California. Donald passed away on April 26, 1995.
Lydia worked for the Colony Shop, Helene’s Hallmark, and Phyllis’ Hallmark stores in Kokomo for 25 years, and then worked at the Oak Furniture Store for 10 years.

Violet Radabaugh, 91, of Kokomo passed away October 25, 2017. She was born in Wilmore, KY March 12, 1926 to John and Thelma (Bradshaw) Sagarsee.
Violet worked for Delco Electronics for more than 30 years as a line worker, retiring in 1977. She was married to Marion Radabaugh, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Alene Elinor (Swingle-Ross-Poe) Wood, 97, of Kokomo passed away October 20, 2017. She was born November 8, 1919 in Helena, Montana to Fred and Blanche (Eldredge) Swingle.
Alene graduated from Lucerne High School in 1937 and was married to Donald Wood, who passed away in 1998.

Joseph “Joe” L. Fleenor, 64, passed away at 11:41 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017. Joe was born Sept. 2, 1953, to Roy and Helen (Spilman) Fleenor.
Joe was a 1971 graduate of Western High School. He worked for Kroger in many departments over his 37 career years there.

Wanda Luckey Forkner, 66, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Wanda was born May 20, 1951 to Fred and Betty (McCartney) Luckey. Wanda married her husband Bob, June 25, 2005. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2016.

Evelyn (Youngblood) Draper, 86, of Kokomo passed away October 17, 2017. She was born September 13, 1931 in Timpson, Texas to Elmer and Minnie (Stokes) Youngblood.
Evelyn worked at Chrysler for more than 30 years, retiring from there in 1994.

Larry Logan
Larry Lee Logan, 72, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:43 AM Thursday October 12, 2017 at St. Vincent-Kokomo. Born March 14, 1945 in Marion, Indiana, he was the son of the late Ellis Logan and Myrle (Brown) Logan. 
He was a veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps. On October 22, 2005 he married Darlene Ollivette (Dunn), and she survives. He was employed with the DANA Corporation for 16 years, then with the Marion VA Hospital for 28 years, before retiring.

Bradley Elmer Hemmeger, 23, Greentown, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, in Kokomo. He was born April 17, 1994, in Kokomo. He was the son of Jeffrey Todd Hemmeger and Kimberly Ann (Butcher) Herr. 
Brad was a 2013 graduate of Western High School. He worked for Chrysler Corporation in the Casting Plant in 9-speed Trim since 2013.
