Mary Hueston

Mary Elizabeth Hueston, 93, of Kokomo went to be with the Lord on June 9th, 2017 at Golden Living Center at 8:30pm

Mary was born on November 28th, 1923 to her parents Everett and Lelia Cage (Fisher) in Kokomo. She was raised by Robert DeWitt after her father passed during World War I.

She is survived by her children Garry Brunk of Benton, TN, daughters Jeanne (Art) Cloum of Windfall, Cathy Hurst of Westfield, Cheryl (Joe) Hill of Bloomington, MN, and Stacia Winegardner of Kokomo; son James Brunk of Kokomo; sister Betty Miller of Sharpsville; step daughters in law Tara (Larry) Guider and Trina (Joey) Jackson both of Benton, TN. Mary is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchild.

Mary enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her loving family who will miss her the most. She was known to be a big jokester, you knew she liked you if she picked on you. She was a member of Fairfield Christian Church since 1935. She worked for Hooks Drug Store and CVS prior to retiring. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, first husband Darrell Brunk, second husband Gerald Hueston, son Randall Brunk, brother Ray Cage, great-great grandson Connor Collins, and brother in law Charlie Miller; daughter in law Imogene Brunk.

Kevin Bergin

Kevin P. Bergin, 50, Kokomo, passed away at 12:09 pm Saturday, June 10, 2017, at his home.  He was born June 24, 1966, in Berea, OH, the son of John T. & Patsy A. (Touhey) Bergin.  He was married to Kimberly (Sharp) Bergin who preceded him in death on October 22, 2014. 

Kevin was employed with Chrysler Corporation as a fork truck driver.  Prior to Chrysler, Kevin rehabbed trailers for Riley Modern Estates.  Kevin was an avid Notre Dame Football fan. 

Kevin is survived by his children, Amber (Jason) Bradley, and Austin Smith; siblings, Sarah (Jim) Herbe, Maureen “Mo” (Les) Claxton, Tim (Jane) Bergin, Terry (Tracie) Bergin, Tom (Karen) Bergin, and Pete Bergin, along with several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Donavan Ash, Summer Bradley, Joshua Malaby Jr., Orren Bradley, and Izaiah Malaby.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Patrick Bergin, and his twin, Keith Bergin, and sister, Laura Wilson.

Ietta McLeod

Ietta Elizabeth McLeod, 92, of Kokomo passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, at 11:02 A.M. at St Josephs Hospital. Born December 22, 1924, in Wheatland Township, Sanilac County, MI, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Thora (Puddock) McLeod.

Ietta was a 1943 Deckerville H.S. graduate. She graduated from the Baptist Missionary Training School in Chicago, IL on June 19, 1950. She then served three-and-a half years as Dean of Women at the Barranquitas Baptist Academy in Puerto Rico. Beginning in 1954 Ietta taught in the Weekday Religious Education program in Kokomo for the National Council of Churches, until the program ended.

Ietta joined the staff at Carver Community Center in 1969 and retired from there in 2008 as office manager after 38 years of service. Ietta remained active in her church, First Evangelical Presbyterian Church on W. Jefferson Street, serving as elder for six years. Since April, 2016, she made her home at North Woods Commons assisted living facility.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Angus and Gordon, and her sister, Sue (Ralph) McLeod Norton, all of Michigan.

She is survived by five nieces and nephews and their children in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Illinois, Delaware, and Arizona.

LaVern Utterback

LaVern O. Utterback, 89, passed away at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Ft. Wayne on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. 

LaVern was born on December 24, 1927 to Lewis S. and Sylvia (Thompson) Utterback at Darrough Chapel in Kokomo, Indiana. He was a 1945 graduate of Union Twp. High School in rural Greentown. During his life he was a farmer, was employed at Stellite Corporation in Kokomo, was the owner of Utterback’s Sundries in Greentown and Lou’s Cash and Carry in Marion, and retired from Container Corporation in Wabash. He worked during post-retirement for L&J Wastepaper in Peru.

LaVern married Wanda (Hook) Badgley in Kokomo on Oct. 23, 1968, and she survives along with their daughter, Tamara Lou (Anthony) Spohn of Peru. Also surviving are his first wife, Jeannice Ann (Brown) Jones, whom he married on February 25, 1950, and their children, Cynthia Jane (Alan) Moss of Shelbyville, Daniel Kent Utterback of Kokomo, David Allen (Vicky) Utterback of Columbia City, and Nancy Jo (Mark) Shaw of Anderson, step-children Keith (Patricia) Badgley of Kokomo, Marty (Bonnie) Badgley of Kokomo, Vicky Clark of Lagro, and Babette Afentakis of Treasure Island, Florida. 

Surviving grandchildren are Jeremy (Rachel) Smith, Lindsay (Neil) Smith Hackel, Brad Utterback, Eric (Jerra) Utterback, Stephen Shaw, and Abigail Shaw. Step-grandchildren are Brek, Keith Dean (Kj), and Shawn (Samantha) Badgley, Tonya Bushfield, Keisha Pulverenti, Lana (Tom) Rubow, Keith (Debbie) Clark, Lana Fairchild, Kevin (Kristy) Clark, Kristopher (Adrienne) Clark, Amber (Adam) Weaver, and Peter Austin Afentakis. Also surviving are 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 

LaVern is also survived by his sister, Mary Catherine Phillips of Indianapolis, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

LaVern is preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Ryan David Utterback and Lisa Ann Utterback. 

There will be no formal services.

Robert Strong

Robert Allen Strong went to his heavenly home on June 11, 2017. He was born on January 9, 1943, and was the son of George and Eldora (Dodd) Strong.

Bob had a happy childhood surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. His first job was a paperboy for the Tipton Tribune and his retirement job was a rural carrier for the Kokomo Tribune. Bob often joked about starting as a paperboy and ending as a paperboy.

Bob was a 1961 graduate of Tipton High School. He was a talented athlete, participating in football and pole vaulting in track. Bob also worked for the Tipton swimming pool as a lifeguard and instructor. He was raised in the First Baptist Church, and later attended Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene.

Bob graduated from Franklin College in 1965. He was recognized as an outstanding football player, and he received several school and conference awards for pole vaulting. At his time of graduation he held several pole vaulting records. Bob worked at the Kokomo Railroad during this time as well. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, where he made many lifelong friends. After graduation Bob attended Butler University for one semester. He worked at Delphi School Corp. for two years as a teacher. He then worked for Prudential Ins. Bob later trained with Safeco Ins., as a claims adjuster. He retired from Safeco in 2005.

Bob loved sports as a participant, coach and spectator. He played on baseball and softball teams until he was 40. Bob especially loved coaching, helping, and watching his children and grandchildren. His retirement passion was the game of golf. Bob’s involvement in sports allowed him to make many new friends as well as reunite with many old friends. He loved life, and will be missed by so many.

Survivors include his two children whom he loved dearly and was so proud of; Robert (Veronica) Strong of Greenwood, IN and Kristin Prokop of Titusville, FL along with his grandchildren; Katlyn Brock, Andy Brock, Logan Strong and Liam Strong. Also surviving is his sister, Sue (Dennis) Shrock of Ann Arbor, MI, his Christian Commitment wife, Cassandra Plake, Cassandra’s children and grandchildren; Tony Plake, Shiloh Plake, Amanda (Jamie) Weston, Marci (Rick) Whitesell, Cassie Whitesell, Andrew Whitesell and Jordon Whitesell.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and two wives, Davene Jones and Vicky Storms.

Sharon Anderson

Sharon “Suzie” Anderson, 74, of Tipton, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born August 17, 1942 in Tipton County to Daniel T. and Deloris M. (Rood) Anderson.   She grew up with her grandparents Avery and Iva Rood. 

Suzie enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends on Friday nights.   She also enjoyed putting jig saw puzzles together. 

She was one of eight children and is survived by two of her brothers, Mike Anderson of Tipton; and Danny and wife Julie Anderson of Kokomo.   She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Linda Payne, and siblings, Carol Jean Anderson, Jerry Anderson, Larry Joe Anderson and Ronald J. Anderson and a special nephew Terry Dickerson.

Dillard Plake

Dillard P. Plake, age 66. of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Sunday June 11, 2017 at his home in Kokomo. He was born on November 10, 1950 in Elwood to Bobbie G. and Settie E. (Short) Plake. On September 24, 1988 Dillard married Constance Decker and she passed away on March 17, 2007. 

Dillard was a 1969 graduate of Kokomo High School. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a past member of Lions International. 

In his spare time Dillard enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, shooting, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Dillard was proud to be an American. He was a Viet Nam Veteran serving with the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He was a double Purple Heart recipient and he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal For Heroism. 

Prior to his retirement Dillard worked as an electrician for Pioneer Hybrid in Tipton. 

Survivors include his children; Stephanie Shupperd, Joshua (Sonia Diaz) Plake, Jeremiah (Myrandi) Plake, Sherry (Josh) Hinkle and Christina (John) Kelderhouse. Also surviving are 10 grand children and his siblings; Sandra Barry, Veronica (Tom) Barry and Terrie Plake. 

Dillard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Constance and a brother Walter Plake.

Robert Killebrew

Robert Killebrew was born March 28, 1937, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to Ross and Lillian Killebrew. He was their only child. 

Robert Killebrew went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 9, 2017, on his mother’s birthday. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillian Smith and Ross Killebrew and his son, Robert Killebrew Jr. 

He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1955. He was an avid track runner through junior high and high school. He served eight years in the United States Air Force. He was a former member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. He was a former member of Elks Lodge and American Legion. He was a member of UAW Local 685 and retired from Chrysler Corp. in January 2003 with 38 years. 

He leaves to cherish his precious memories wife, Rosetta, Indianapolis; daughters, Juanita Pettiford, Joyce Durham, Fonda Killebrew; sons, Rodney and Myron Killebrew, all of Kokomo; grandchildren, Lakisha Nix, Karl Nix Jr., Arrainne Nix, Karlos Nix, Darceil Reed, Santaesha Durham, Bonyeah Killebrew, Brandon Meachum, Sherray Jones, Natasha Killebrew, Rodney Killebrew Jr.; stepdaughters, Rhonda Hill and Renee O’Neal; stepsons, Baron, Brian and Brett Liggins, all of Indianapolis; and 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

James Scott

James Michael “Mike” Scott, 68, Jamestown, Kentucky, and formerly Elwood, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, following a battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 3, 1948 in Elwood, the son of Arley Jr. and Alta Pauline “Polly” (Varnell) Scott. Mike was a 1966 graduate of Wendell Willkie High School in Elwood. He worked as a supervisor of engineering services for Delco Electronics in Kokomo for 37 1/2 years and retired in 2002. Mike married Cindy Glendenning on May 20, 1989, and she was a devoted wife, caretaker and angel who watched over him during his four-year battle with cancer. 

Mike was a racing enthusiast and spent many years drag-racing as a hobby in addition to flying and owning a plane in the early 1970s. Mike was a Harley Davidson rider, and served as chapter President of Harley Davidson of Kokomo from 1998 to 2000. He inherited a love for boating from his parents, and still loved spending summer days on Lake Cumberland. Mike was a loving husband and devoted father who loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He had a big heart with a passion for living life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Dr. Blythe Snow

Dr. Blythe Harriet Snow, D.O., 67, died at her home in Houston, Texas, in December 2016. Born May 1, 1949, in Elwood, she was the daughter of Burnill and Bee Snow. The family later moved to Kokomo, where Blythe attended school and participated in 4-H and Girl Scouts. 

As a child, she had a variety of pets; she loved caring for them. We were sure she would grow up to be a veterinarian. Blythe also did experiments with a toy chemistry set at home. 

After traveling and working many places, Blythe joined the U.S. Air Force in 1974. As a jet engine technician, she became the T-4 Engine Shop assistant crew chief, NCO: E-4 sergeant, and was honorably discharged in 1979. While in the service, she began taking college courses and set her goal on a career in medicine. 

Returning to her home state, she studied at Indiana University Bloomington, earning a B.S. degree in biological sciences in 1982. She then studied at UOMHS/College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, where she received her doctor of osteopathy in 1987. After her internship and residence at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, she was granted a fellowship to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, in 1990, and completed it in 1993. 

Dr. Snow completed her residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Emergency Medicine in 1996. During the time of her fellowship and residency, in addition to patient care, she conducted lectures for the medical staff and participated in Phase III clinical research. Dr. Snow was in solo private practice from 1996 to 2004. In addition to medical services, she provided clinical training to new doctors, nurses and medical assistants. During this time, she provided free medical care to new arrivals in local shelters for women and children, provided free screening for breast and skin cancer at an annual health fair, and gave teaching sessions on self-screening exams for early detections of those cancers. 

Dr. Snow retired to her home in Houston, Texas, where she enjoyed the warm weather, attending auctions and yard sales, and becoming a reseller online. 

Blythe is survived by sister, Beverly (Chuck) McCorkle, Palmer, Alaska; sister, Blanche Snow, Alexandria, Virginia; brother, Brent (Val) Snow, Tipton; sister, Dianne (James) Huffer, Kirklin; and several nieces and nephews. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Burnill (2001) and Bee (2014); sister, Brenda Lowry (2000); brother, Brian C. (2008); and nephew, Brian K. (1998).

Frances Arnold

Frances R. (Smith) Arnold, daughter of the late Bobbie L. (Barton) Smith and John Rufus Smith, was born March 18, 1924 in Normandy Tennessee. Frances was the eldest of three siblings all preceding her in death; Marion C. (Smith) Lanier, Estel V. (Smith) Reed and John C. Smith. Frances departed this life June 5, 2017 at Community North Hospital Indianapolis following an extended illness. 

Frances received her early education at Wartrace Elementary School in Wartrace, Tennessee. Later she completed cosmetology school and became a hair dresser. She also attended Malcolm X College in Chicago, Illinois. At an early age in Tennessee she joined the AME Methodist Church and after moving to Kokomo, she became a member of Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church. 

Frances married Perry Arnold in 1946 and to this union was born two daughters, Delois Ann and the late Carolyn Ruth Arnold. Frances moved to Chicago, Illinoisd and began work as a Chicago Transit operator retiring in 1990 after 14 years of service. Surviving her loss are her daughter Delois A. Pigg, son-in-law James H. Pigg; grandchildren, Jauron Pigg, Tyler Pigg, Tyrone Gentry, Emmit Paige, Kimberly Paige, Yolanda Gentry and Rene Gentry; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Gregory York

Gregory Dale York went home to be with the Lord at 6:05pm on May 22, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro NC after a long illness.  Greg was born in McKinney TX on December 10, 1962 to Norman Dale York and Mary Francis Bogue and was raised in Kokomo, Indiana and Fairbanks, Alaska.  

Greg graduated from Ben Eielson High School in 1982 and went on to fulfill his life long dream of being a law enforcement officer, serving on the Carmel Police Department in Carmel, Indiana. He was medically retired in 1990. Greg was an avid hunter, fisherman and gun enthusiast.  

Greg was preceded in death by his mother Mary Scoles and grandmother Juanita Parson. He is survived by his Stepfather Dean Scoles, Brother Richard York (Brittany and Jared), Sister Linda Hayden (Daniel and Sarah) Uncle Max Coombs (Janelle, Ben, Jason and Eric) as well as several Great Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Joan Graves

Joan R. Graves, 84, Kokomo, passed away at 9:36 pm Thursday, June 15, 2017, at IU Saxony Hospital in Fishers, IN.  She was born March 28, 1933, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Charles Bernard & Josephine Mildred (Day) Coady.  On April 28, 1951, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, she married William “Bill” Joseph Graves who preceded her in death January 17, 2003.

Joan was a 1951 graduate of Kokomo High School.  She was the owner and secretary for Graves Sheet Metal.  Joan was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and Daughters of Isabella.  She was active in Eastside little league, serving as vice president.  She loved to fish, crochet, and spend time with her family at her cottage.  

Joan is survived by her children, Mark A. Graves, Bonita Springs, FL, William K. (Deborah) Graves, Kokomo, Jane A. (Tim) Bergin, Kokomo, and Charles J. (Lynn) Graves, Kokomo; grandchildren, David (Jenny) Graves, Joseph Ewing, Megan (Jason) Harner, Nick (Audra) Ewing, Nicole (Anthony) Burton, Nathan (April) Graves, John (Ashley) Bergin, Josephine Bergin, Joshua Bergin, Tyler (Sarah) Graves, and Monica Graves, along with 14 great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Karen R. Ewing, and grandson, Justin Coady Graves.

Charles Wilson

Charles “Chuck” Richard Wilson, 67, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 14, 2017. Chuck was born to Leo and Beatrice Wilson on September 23, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio. Chuck married Myra Bugher on February 13, 1982. 

Chuck retired as Senior Master Sergeant after 22 years of serving our country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed listening to country and light rock music, and enjoyed all things country western. He drove a semi-truck after retiring from the service, and went on to become an owner and operator of that company. He enjoyed life with his family, especially his kids and grandkids. Chuck enjoyed watching Judge Judy and the cooking network. He loved to dance, and play the bongos. Chuck loved to travel, and visited many places both for his career, and for enjoyment.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Myra Wilson; children Charles “Ed” (Cindy) Wilson, Richie (Patricia) Wilson, Todd (Shannon Davis) Bugher, Amanda (Gordon) Parsons, and Tammy (Bradley Jones) Wilson; godson Larry (Erica) Wilson; sister MaryAnn (David) Billheimer; brother David Livingston; 14 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Beatrice Wilson; brothers Bob and Don Livingston; and sister Judy Copp.

Eva Hendershot

Eva Elzina (Wysong) Hendershot, 93, Kokomo, passed away at 2:15 pm June 14, 2017, surrounded by loved one’s in her daughter’s home.  She was born July 15, 1923, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late George Monroe & Gladys (Kelly) Wysong.  On February 25, 1943, she married Robert Leslie Hendershot who preceded her in death on December 20, 1981.

Eva was a very hard worker her whole life.  She attended Kokomo High School and at an early age, began her working career at Kokomo Opalescent Glass where she made marbles.  Eva then spent 32 years working at Cabot/Haynes International, retiring March 1, 1981.

Throughout her lifetime, she was a very active woman.  In her younger years, Eva and her sister Ethel were avid roller-skaters.  She was a lifetime member with the VFW Post 1152 in the Ladies Auxiliary.  Eva was very independent and enjoyed many things including, traveling, cooking, playing Bingo, talking politics, watching the Cubs, and IU basketball games.  She also loved spending time at the ballparks with her grandkids and was very devoted to both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Up until the end, Eva had a feisty personality and a strong sense of self that is evident in her legacy.

Eva is survived by her brother, Bill Wysong, Kokomo; daughters, Karen (Allan) Francis, Port Charlotte, FL, Sharon (Thurman) Denman, Kokomo, and Roberta “Birdie” (John Allen) Meeks; grandchildren, Brent (Dawn) Davis, Kokomo, Jennifer (Michael) Van Horn, Kokomo, Scott (Rachel) Parrett, Noblesville, Chad (Erin) Gillem, Kokomo, and Matt (Brooke) Meeks, West Lafayette; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Van Horn, Brittany Davis, Abigail Van Horn, Kirby Meeks, Mitchell Van Horn, Ozzie Meeks, Owen Parrett, Ashlyn Gillem, Baylin Gillem, and Tucker Meeks; step-great-grandchildren, Uriah, and Isaac Whetzell, along with many nieces, nephews, and special niece and best friend, Romana Foust, Kokomo.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Helen Mills, and Ethel Bogan, and brothers, Earl, Diz, Fred, and Dick Wysong.

Dixie Thomas

Dixie C. Thomas, 86, Kokomo, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Waterford Health Campus. She was born June 22, 1930, in Carrollton, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles Johnston and Sylvia (née Coghill) Boswell.

In 1948, she graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. She retired as a Senior Financial Analyst from Chrysler Corporation after more than 30 years of service. She was a founding member of the Delco Ballroom Dance Club in 1966, along with her husband Richard E. Thomas. She was also a founding member of the Women Investing for Self-Education (W.I.S.E.). Dixie was an avid bridge player and enjoyed knitting.  

Survivors include a daughter, Taunee Boudreau and husband Rick of Kokomo; son, Richard L. Thomas and wife Cindy (née Springer) of Kokomo; daughter, Lisa Thomas of Indianapolis; grandson, Louis Boudreau of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Maggie (née Thomas) Rawls and husband Brad of Lafayette; and three great-grandchildren, Sophie, Liam, and Owen Rawls, all of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Hubert Johnston, and a sister, Jennetta Williams.

Herbert Stafford

Herbert Graydon “Staff” Stafford, 93, of Kokomo and formerly of Bennetts Switch, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  He was born March 31, 1924, in Kokomo, to Herbert Albert Stafford and Marian A. (Rubush) Faulkner Stafford.  On August 15, 1943, he married the love of his life, Juanita Rexine Johnson, and she survives.  Together, they enjoyed 73 years of marriage.

Herbert Graydon graduated from Kokomo High School in 1942 and worked at Union Carbide and Cabot Corporation for 35 years as an engineering and maintenance general foreman before retiring in 1977.  He loved to fly fish and hunt small game.  He owned a cottage on Lake Shafer from 1972 to 1984 and had traveled the country in his travel trailer, seeing most of Canada and all of the states except Alaska and Hawaii.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge 365 and the Moose Lodge 249, both in Peru, the Quarter Century Club and Kokomo Main Street United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Juanita Stafford, he is survived by his children, whom he adored, Steven Douglas (Mary) Stafford and Jorja Jo (Jim McIntyre) Peterson; granddaughters, Amy Jo (Shane) Leggett, Jamie Jo (Chris) Fuller and Kristin Taylor Stafford; great-grandchildren, Sydney Leggett, Sierra Leggett, Graydon Fuller and Colten Fuller; and sister-in-law, Jean Faulkner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Carol Yvonne Stafford and Alice Lovene Huffman; two half-brothers, Harold O. Faulkner and Thomas E. Faulkner; and sister-in-law, Mary Faulkner.

George Kinder

George Albert Kinder, 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. George was born to Herman and Mildred Kinder on August 9, 1935 in Kokomo. He married Judith Knotts on March 27 1960, and she precedes him in death. 

George served our country in the United States Army for 4 years, in Germany. He went on to work at Kolux and Kinder Sign Service, making signs. George enjoyed playing and watching golf and basketball. He also loved to paint, cook out, and work in the yard. He was a great dad, and loved his grandkids, too.

George is survived by his daughters, Julie (Mark) Fulkerson and Jennifer (Steve Turner) Johnson; sister Barbara Tinder; grandchildren Benjamin Johnson, Joshua (Tiffany) Fulkerson, Kelsey Turner, Brittany (fiancé Randy Whitacre) Fulkerson, and Zachary Turner; several great-grandchildren; nieces Tammy Kinder and Stevee Tinder.

George is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Kinder; parents Herman and Mildred Kinder; brothers Gary Kinder, Marley Kinder, and Howard Kinder.

Friends and family may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. George will be laid to rest at Kokomo Memorial Park.

Vicky Roseberry

Vicky F. Roseberry, 52, of kokomo passed away at Golden Living nursing home on Friday June 9th at 11 pm.

She was born October 21 1964, to Joyce and Leo Daffron (Denney) new castle indiana, on July 3, 1997 she married Timothy Roseberry. 

She is survived by one daughter Destini And Brian Deniston of Walton Indiana and she was proceeded by 2 grandchildren Lorelle, and Grayson.

Celebration of life will be July 1, 2017 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Rodgers Pavilion in Highland Park, Kokomo with Reverend Victor Pearson Officiating
