The Kokomo Police Department issued a warrant for attempted murder for a Kokomo man following a shooting that occurred last month.

On Sept. 22, shortly after 7 a.m., officers of the Kokomo Police Department responded to the 1600 block of North Apperson Way in reference to a report of gunshots being fired. Officers arrived and learned that a 33-year-old Kokomo female had been shot in the upper leg. The victim told officers she walked out of her residence and observed an older, blue Jeep Cherokee pull up, and a light-complected black male fired multiple shots at her. The victim was treated at St. Vincent Kokomo and then transferred to an Indianapolis hospital for further treatment.
