The Kokomo Police Department is investigating after a 25-year-old man said he was shot while walking through a southeast side park early this morning.
Shortly at 5 a.m., officers of the Kokomo Police Department responded to Community Howard Regional Health in reference to an individual showing up to the emergency room suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers spoke the victim, Harry Young of Kokomo. Young reported that he was walking through a southeast side park in the early morning hours when three unknown subjects ran past him. After the unknown subjects ran past him, he felt a pain in his lower left leg and realized one of the subjects shot him. Young continued to walk home.
Young’s injury is not life-threatening, and investigators are investigating the accuracy of the incident. Investigators believe this is an isolated incident.
