The City of Kokomo announced that Beth Copeland, who has served as Corporation Counsel since January 2015, will no longer be a full-time employee but will join the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister. She will remain in her role as Corporation Counsel, providing legal services for the City, as a contract employee from Taft Stettinius & Hollister. She will work a reduced schedule over the next few months to assist with the transition to a new city administration.
Copeland earned her Juris Doctor in 2005 from Valparaiso University School of Law. She and her family will continue to reside in Kokomo, where she is an active member of the community.
“It’s been an honor to work with Beth the past four years,” said Mayor Greg Goodnight. “I am happy that she will continue to serve as Corporation Counsel in her new role. I appreciate her hard work and congratulate her as she starts the new chapter in her life.”
