St. Luke’s Angels’ Attic Bazaar

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 700 E. Southway Boulevard, is hosting Angels’ Attic Bazaar Craft Show & Chicken Noodle Dinner on Oct. 12. Booths will be open from 8 to 2 p.m. with dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be lots of booths, a pantry bake sale, homemade noodles, morning cinnamon rolls, a treasure and trinket room with books, gently-used jewelry, and homemade crafts. Cost for the dinner is $9 for adults and $3 to children 5 and under. Carryout is available by calling 765-453-0555. All proceeds go to local missions and church ministries.

Rockers for Knockers

The 12th annual Rockers for Knockers, a funny name for a serious cause, will take place Oct. 12 at Phi Delta Kappa Concert House, 2401 Saratoga Ave. Doors open at 7 p.m. Money $hot Tucker will perform from 8:45 to 9:45 p.m. followed by Mike Milligan and Steam Shovel from 10 to 11 p.m. Cost is $10, cash only, at the door. All ages are welcome. All proceeds go to Kokomo hospitals’ cancer foundations.

Learn about DAR and CAR

Teens and adults, the Daughters of the American Revolution and Children of the American Revolution will explain the application process for these lineage societies. Join the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library for the DAR-C.A.R. Prospective Member Workshop. It’ll be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Oct. 12 at KHCPL Main.

Community-Wide Garage Sale

A community-wide garage sale will be held at UAW 685, 929 E. Hoffer St., on Oct. 12 from 8 to 2 p.m. To reserve a table, call Kim Story at 765-437-3428.

Stepping Out

Community Women’s Guild is presenting Stepping Out, an accessory and vendor sale, on Oct. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Refreshing Springs Church, 3112 East St. Tickets are $15.

New London Breakfast

New London Masonic Lodge, located two miles north of Russiaville, is serving breakfast on Oct. 12 from 7 to 10 a.m. There will be sausage gravy and biscuits. A freewill donation will be accepted.

Greentown Lodge Fish and Tenderloin

Greentown Masonic Lodge, 617 E. Payton St., is having a fish and tenderloin fry on Oct. 12 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 7 to 12, and free to ages 7 and under. Carryout is available by calling 765-628-3154.

In His Image Women’s Conference

In His Image Church, 2940 E. 50 N., Kokomo, is hosting an all-day women’s conference, “Harvest of Blessings,” on Oct. 12 from 9 to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Registration is $15. The guest speaker is Linda Timme of Angel Heart Ministries. Registration forms can be picked up at the church, on contract the church at 854-0777. You also may register the day of the conference. 

Russiaville Lions All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry

The Russiaville Lions will be having its annual fall all-you-can-eat fish and tenderloin fry on Oct. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. Cpst is $10. The meal includes fish, tenderloins, french fries, baked beans, cole slaw or applesauce, and drinks. The fish and tenderloins will be prepared by Hawg Heaven. Several selections of Moore's Pie will be available for $1.50. Proceeds will be used for our scholarship funds for Western High School seniors. There will also be brooms for sale. The Lions Club building is located at 555 N. Liberty St. by the youth ball diamonds in Russiaville. The Russiaville Lions Club meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a new member, come join us during a meeting.
