FAST FOOD — Panda Express will help out Habitat for Humanity this Saturday during a giveback day.

Panda Express is continuing to give back to the community.

Following a give-back day held last Friday in which half of sales were donated to the Kokomo Family YMCA, the fast food restaurant will keep giving back by donating half of sales this Saturday to Habitat for Humanity.

"One of our core values at Panda Express is giving, and giving back to our local communities to support the causes that our guests are passionate about allows us to make real, meaningful connections with one another,” said Area Coach of Operations Lily Lui. "As a new member of the Kokomo community, Panda Express is dedicated to working with organizations, like Habitat for Humanity, to inspire better lives for our neighbors. Our Panda Express team is excited to partner with organizations throughout the community in the coming months and years and become a valued member of the Kokomo community."

For the sale to qualify, the customer must mention Habitat for Humanity or present a digital flyer that can be found on the Panda Express website or Facebook page.

“We are so excited and thankful for this opportunity,” said Katie Maller, office administrator for Habitat for Humanity.

After eating, Maller encouraged supporters to visit the nonprofit’s nearly-completed build at 1404 Belvedere Drive to see how the donations will be put to use with future builds.

The giveback day takes place all day Saturday, Oct. 12. Panda Express is located at 1227 S. Reed Road.
